Back pocket carry... sitting on your gun?

You won't hurt a P-32 or a P-3AT by sitting on it. However if you plan to do so on a regular basis with a round in the tube you might remember the immortal words of F. Gump: "Oh, yes sir. Bit me right in the buttocks".

I like back pocket carry in a Bullard holster; tried carrying in the front but finally figured out that if I have to access the pistol I will likely be in an athletic position which prevents access in the front pocket.

Fact of the matter is, a Kel-Tec in your pocket is not going to shoot you in the butt unless you pull the trigger to cock it and make it shoot.
Or get hit in the butt & Kel-Tec by lightening, which might set one off?

The danger is leaving the gun behind somewhere. I have lost count of the number of wallets I have found in various vehicles, left behind by folks who have ridden with me. Then, there is the pickpocket factor. I don't believe in giving my guns away.

I have a Kel Tec P3AT that I carry in my right hip pocket in a Uncle George Wallet holster. My wife has a Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace that she carries sometimes in her back pocket in DeSantis pocket holster.
Neither guns seem the worse for wear from this experience.

No, a pocketed pistol will not go off by itself, however, in a stressful situation, it is easy to grab the pistol in an incorrect manner when the trigger is exposed and the pistol is in a pocket. Hence the need for a pocket holster.
