Circular saw blade baseball bat but mounted horizontal. They call it a Christmas tree but there are no tutorials on how to mount them.

... and for anyone that needs it spelled out -if you're found on the street with something as noticeable as the above you automatically lose any ability to "explain away" your intentions while dealing with the first cop that shows up.

The great beauty of an ordinary baseball bat (or a hammer or pick your blunt instrument) is that each item has a recognized legitimate use and won't be attracting any unwanted attention unless you absolutely have to do something stupid with it... On many occasions I had one young man or other bat in hand and was able to issue a simple warning and send them on their way.... Change that scenario to a "zombie killer" and the decision will start in the other direction pretty quick in any "disturbing the peace" scenario. This will occur even before there's been any assault....

I have seen them mounted vertically that is easy. Resembles an axe. If talking about mounting three blades horizontally. From the striking part about one inch a half separation.

Well, that isn't too hard to figure out either.

Drill the bat for a long lag screw or RH socket head bolt as shown.
Saw three chunks off the end.
Assemble with the screw or bolt + epoxy holding it all together.

Meh.

Put it in a glass case and hang it in a themed man-cave.

Are you talking about making some sort of basement dweller cosplay weapon? If so, it isn't a topic for us.

If you're thinking of it as an actual weapon, there are legions of reasons it is a horrible idea. Primary being that you'd have little opportunity to explain away the psycho nature of it in a court of law if you ever used it. Imagine what a prosecutor could do lifting a bloody version of that and walking toward the jury.

There is a readily available device that uses that blade. It is powered by 110v or so power. Much easier than swinging the blade with it haphazardly attached to a bat.

Seriously, this would only make a baseball bat LESS effective, and make you subject to increased scrutiny from law enforcement. Please re-think the whole thing.

I'm betting the weight slows the bat down do much a fastball hit is nearly impossible.
And if it wasn't?

Once stuck in, how do you get it unstuck & out for the next timely swing??

Still a bad idea all the way around.

Gotta feel bad for the pitcher and catcher...momentum is taking that bad boy somewhere. The safest person may be the one holding the bat but even that guy has plenty to worry about.

looks as dangerous for the operator as for those in the vicinity . I think that is only sutable as a display on the walls of a zombie apockalypse theimed man cave, bolted to the wall, so that the meathead brother in law cant break the tv.with it in my humble opinion

I made a slapper out of the end of a cork ball bat and bolted a piece of tire chain (the part that goes across the tire) on the end of it. The cops confiscated it.

But now I want a tactical bat. I'm going to have to mount rails on the next yard sale find and deck it out with all sorts of AR junk that people buy and end up hating.

That's an hilarious idea! :D

Young (and not so young) folks do foolish things -it almost comes with the job description...
Like Bikerdoc, on one or two occasions the weapon someone had with them resulted in this brief conversation...."Get in the car". In the light of day in a courtroom the guy's attorney takes one look at the improvised weapon, there's a brief whispered conversation and the young man stands up and says "no contest".... All of this was many years ago for me -but I'll bet that every young cop sooner or later goes through the same routine.

sakimoto,

I remember your previous posts.

What's your intent with this? It isn't practical for self defense from either the using or the legal aspect so are you intending it as making you look crazy enough to deter an attacker or are you actually thinking about using it in the home. If the latter, I think we've pointed out the many negatives on that. If the former, you're looking at nearly the same set of problems as well. If you're just looking to make a "toy", RC pretty quickly answered that by suggesting you just cut a bat on a band saw or chop saw and glue and screw the bits together. You risk getting hurt with such a toy, but that's obvious anyway.
