Be Honest What Do You Really Carry??????

I've taken to carrying my SIG P229 .40 owb in kydex full time with an extra four magazines in kydex pouches. I had no trouble dressing around it all either, just wear a cammo BDU jacket and boonie hat.

Just bought a P220 .45, might very well switch to that.

90-95% of the time, the Bersa MiniFireStorm .45 in a leather El Paso Saddlery OWB thumb-break holster (forward cant).

The other 5-10% of the time, it's my EAA .38 snubbie in an Uncle Mike's OWB pancake-style holster w/ thumb-break or an open-top UM IWB holster.

Currently looking for an ankle holster for the .38 for summer wear.

Mon-Fri. 8a-5p- I can't carry at all due to work restrictions (it is actually unsafe for me to carry at work due to the types of kids I work with.

My SW 642 goes to and from work with me and goes in my pocket whenever I actually leave the grounds for lunch, marketing, etc.

During my off time, the Springfield Lightweight Gov't. Model gets carried about 80% of the time, the SW 642 about 15% and my Glock 17 gets the other 5%, usually when I just don't feel like going IWB anymore.

I also carry my Ruger GP100 4" when I am working around the yard. Pit bulls are the breed of choice in my area and I am more comforted by the .357 than anything else.

Most of the time I carry my Springfield 1911 unless I'm out riding my bike and then I'm carrying my G23.

Almost always, S&W 637 in my trouser pocket in an old Uncle Mike soft nylon IWB holster with the belt clip removed. I have another Uncle Mike IWB that I sometimes use but the pocket carry seems to work.

Carry?

Honestly? Mainly KT P-32 day to day or a Bersa Thunder .380. Seems like alot of people carry a snubby .38 and the Bersa has a couple of extra rounds with a cartridge pretty much its eaqual.

Thats during the summer here in Texas. During the winter its a 1911/G19 .

carry

Ruger MKIII 22/45 with 4.5" barrel and 2 spare mags. I hit exactly where I aim, and put 10 rounds into 1"-1 1/2" at 7 yards rapid fire. Light, fast and accurate.

Always, Smith 642 with 200 grain solids
When I have untucked shirt or jacket on going to town, 1911 with extra mag + above.
When going to Lousiville, all of the above + Kimber compact .45 and a Smith 24 in the door pocket.
When going to Louisville west end or anywhere in Louisville after dark, ALL of the above plus at least one friend or my wife similarly attired.

Kimber Ultra Carry everywhere except church. At church its a Kel-Tec P32. However, when I'm riding quads, fishing or biking, then its a Glock 23, just in case I drop it or something (I love my Kimbers). I started with the Kimber, went to revolvers, then Glocks, Kahr, Seecamp and some others and did a full swing back to the Kimber. The .45ACP just "feels" right. It is 100% reliable and I feel 100% comfortable. I still have the others and love them all, but they aren't my daily attire.

I have been toying with carrying a full sized Kimber, but have realized I must first loose a couple of pounds.

At the moment it's the Makarov in my sig carried IWB in an Uncle Mike's holster, as it conceals under my shirts very well. When jacket/coat weather comes, I'll most likely switch to the GP-100 (also in my sig) using a belt holster.

When I can carry, it's almost exclusively my Para-Companion C-7/45LDA. If I'm in the mood to carry something else, I'll switch out to my Para-Ord Colonel (4.25", 14+1 .45ACP, LDA, OD finish). Both of them ride in a Galco Hi-Ride Concealment holster. If I'm feeling particularly funky, I'll go with a Para-Ord Stealth Hi-Cap (5" 14/45LDA), which rides in a Galco Yaqui belt slide.

No matter what I'm carrying, I have the same manual of arms; the only differences being barrel lengths, width of grips and mag capacity.

Of course, I can't carry to work, as I work as a cook and carry into liquor-serving restaurants is verbotten here in TN. I also don't like the idea of leaving one of them in my truck while I'm at work for 6-12 hours. Therefore, I don't carry as often as I really should.

ETA: Infrequently, my wife and I take a walk around the pond in our development. There have been water moccasins spotted there before, so I have been known to slide her Taurus 85 loaded with snakeshot into my front pocket. But that only happens about once every six months.

Whenever I leave the house, or most of the time in the house, I carry my sig p229 in a smartcarry.

The only exceptions are when I go to work, as I work in a VA hospital, and when I go out to eat as I also live in TN and its against the law.

For the past six years I've carried everywhere I possably could (legal) only one gun...S&W mod 4553 TSW. Carry at work...play...out and about...got it on right now. I need to be shooting it more. The holster is wearing the bead blast off the frame/slide some and its getting those little shinney edges on it. I like that look. It shows it to be a carry gun, not a safe queen. :D
Mark.

Carry gun? I don't know what you're talking about. Guns are baaaaaad, especially in public.

Hypothetically speaking, if I didn't believe that guns were baaaaaaaaad I'd carry a Pro Carry all day every day, and sleep with it next to me. Hypothetically, of course.

My primary carry when the weather is cooler here in Maine and I can wear a decent cover garment is some variant of the 1911A1 (I've got 3 different ones at the moment).

When the weather is warm and/or clothing choices prohibit me from carrying the 1911, I carry either an H&K P7 or a S&W 638. The S&W 638 is probably also my most used "grab it and go" gun.

When out in the woods, I carry either a S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman or a S&W 629.

At work, a Sig 228, 2 spare mags, cuffs, and a 21" airweight ASP or 4oz OC spray - and the most important piece of emergency equipment, a cell phone.

Not at work, if I carry (usually 90% of the time), it ranges from just a cell phone and the gun with the mag that's in it, to gun, cuffs, a spare mag, cell phone, and a smaller can of OC. Usually it's just the gun and a small can of OC.

Cell phone being most important because usually the best thing to do is retreat, find cover, and call the cavalry.

If my clothes are on, I'm wearing my Glock 26 (9mm).

Usually, it's in an IWB Blade Tech holster (the "Ultimate Concealment" design).

If not in the kydex, then it's in a belly band.

Oh, and there's always a Benchmade Griptillian in my left pocket, too.

Since I live in MD no guns for me when I leave the house unless I'm out of state.

In MD I always have a knife on me. Used to carry a quick opening tactical folder. However, I really like my Puma folder (with no thumb stud) with stags horn grips and that is what I've been carrying the past couple months. I often (~50% of the time) have pepper spray (need to replace what I have as it has been over a year since I last rotated it). I've been considering adding something else due to some general threats that I've seen increase lately.

When out of MD and in a state where I can carry I plan to mostly carry my Taurus 85 or Taurus PT140 Millenium Pro.

Most of the time a Kel-Tec P-3AT .380. When I can, it is a S&W 910S with 15 round mag.
