I don`t worry about it, as long as it is not seen you are fine!! If it is imprinted is OK also just as long as you have it covered and your permit on you there is absolutely nothing can be said!!! I have carried a Ruger SR 40 inside my waist band and a loose shirt and nobody has ever acted like they have seen anything!!

No offense, but depending on the state you're in, this is not sound advice.

It is true in most. Even Texas doesn't make it a crime to "print." Deliberate open-carry is different than someone being able to discern that the lump under your shirt might be a gun.

In what states is printing a crime, or likely to cause the carrier to be hassled by the police? Sfed did specify, "as long as you have ... your permit..." so we aren't talking about unlawful carry.

Here they don't have a law against printing, they lump failure to adequately print (or accidental flashing) in with brandishing. I agree It's unlikely you'll get caught, but it can go bad. I think to throw it out there with the kind of attitude that you could make it blatantly obvious by having a perfect gun outline under your clothes and youre safe because it's not directly exposed is a bad idea and it carries heavy consequences here.

I've heard the concerns over that in TX many times, but haven't ran across much concrete evidense for it. Meaning, a case where someone was making a reasonable effort to conceal his/her gun and it "printed" or the wind blew open a shirt momentarily or some such and the person was arrested or otherwise actually suffered any consequences.

Some good discussion of the relevant laws here: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=7585703

Please check your facts. Texas laws prohibits INTENTIONAL exposure of your firearm. Having your jacket blow open or having your shirt ride up, or having an outline show through your cover garment is NOT intentional exposure!

Lets not make things any more difficult than they have to be.

And I certainly don't mean to argue that either. Most LEOs are reasonable enough to understand an accident from intentional, especially from a licensed CCW'er.

I just don't agree with the "Nyah Nyah, it's covered by a thin piece of fabric, so you can't do anyhing" attitude I've seen here and on other sights about because I've been told by several LEOs here that it's unlikely to happen, but it only takes the on jerk cop on that PD to catch you or have him respond to a lunatic to calling in an MWAG to ruin a lot things for you.

I am aware of that, but the "intentional" part is gonna be your words vs theirs.

As I said above, it's mostly the lax attitude towards attempting to conceal that isnt an issue in sone states can be here.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've heard from enough people who would or should know that it could be an issue. And I figured that among a group of folks that understand that being ready to defend them selves in a realistically unlikely scenario would also understand that just a little more effort to cover your butt in certain areas can make all the difference.
