Beretta APX Promo.

Beretta is giving away 5 free mags with the purchase of an APX through April 30th. The guys over at XDTalk said that there is a place (iAmmo.com) that is selling the APX with 3 mags and an additional frame for $449.

I could not pass up that offer. The pistol with 8 mags and an additional grip frame(I chose FDE) will cost me $477.

I finally got my redemption code and got my 5 free mags. Since the redemption code was a voucher at BerettaUSA.com, I wonder why it took 10 weeks.

Quite possibly a case of where the corporate right hand not knowing what the corporate left hand is doing. That or possibly they were waiting on additional magazines to be in stock before they issued the voucher for the 5 magazines.

I found out that Beretta used a 3rd party to do the rebate thing.

All in all, I got the pistol, an FDE grip frame, and 8 mags for $480 after transfer. Not too shabby.

That's like $150 in spare magazines and another $50 for the extra grip frame! Now that's a mighty fine deal!

I didn't find the APEX different enough to want to buy over the Glocks I already have so much $$ in mags and holsters invested in, though it shot well enough.

But for that deal I probably would have jumped in with a smile!
