My only beef with the SP01 Shadow is the railed dust cover - I don't like muzzle heavy guns. If the Australian importer brings in the 75 Shadow then I'll be first in line.

Better get in line. That's what I shoot for the same reason.
Maybe 6#(or less) DA and 3# SA. Shadow upper, oversize bbl etc, etc but no tac rail. "SWEET". Comes with three 18-actually 19rd mags.

I'm an Aussie, I live in Australia. As soon as I saw the pic I checked on the local importers web site. Not listed at this time. I've a feeling getting a single gun exported from the states will be a) difficult and b) expensive. If I was still on the OZ IPSC team I'd deal with the hassles to get one, but as I am now old and slow I'll simply wait till they show up locally.

Well thanks all for all the opinions. I may still get the cz some day from the custom shop but when I talked to them they were talking nov or dec at the earliest. And also I talked to some of my local matches and they told me I would have to use that gun da for the first shot in their competitions. Its a sweet gun and I will still have one some day but for now to get started out in comp. I bought an xdm 5.25 cimpetition model. I am excited to try it out it will be my first 9mm. My other guns are all .45acp. Gotta get a 9 for cheaper ammo so I can pratice more. And I will try and put up some pics. And my shooting impressions after my first range trip. (Its raining today of corse ) thanks again

I do not shoot the pistol games, so I cannot say about that, but I also recently bought an XDm in 9MM (4.5) and I like it a lot. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Good idea! And, as you know, given any average shooting competition (excluding "Open" guns), none of the guns the top 10 shooters will be shooting will be $1,600-$3,000+ exotics.

Makes for an interesting idea. What if competitive pistol shooting went the way of racing, in more that a few sports and had a "claimer" clause in the rules. I bet you would be right then.

If you can buy an SV anything for under $2000, you got a great deal. Hell a single stack SV costs more than the double stack "old ones".

Production is another matter but the ones I have wouldn't go for what you could buy a new one for and the one that would be the most expensive has well over 100k rounds down the pipe.

Lightly modified Glocks, M&Ps, 1911s, etc. ... it's the Indian, not the arrow as they say! But I imagine that was the hidden message you were sending.

The majority of shooters winning USPSA limited in my area are shooting STI 2011s. I'm not sure if you consider them "exotics" seeing as STI is a Texas company, but they are certainly over the $1600 mark.

Well i have had the gun for almost a week now and it has rained almost every day:mad: but I did get out to shoot it and it seems to shoot very well 350rnds throught it so far without any issues at all. Its strange shooting a 9mm for the first time (I have always shoot .45acp) recoil so light I feed like it was a dud lol.
Also threw on a set of stick on grips to hold better. Im a mechanic and my hands heavily calused so bare plastic and calus is just to slick.

I'm in love with my CZ 75 Sport II from german tuner Oschatz. One great and reliable shooter that should retail for about 1500 bucks if available in the US.
And for daily use and training, this is my favorite:
e6edazu3.jpg works great with every 124gr 9x19.

Greetings from Austria
