Does it have to be used? I just bought a NIB Glock 23 Gen 4. I am skeptical about anything that gets a lot of hype, so I was reluctant, but the gun will not malfunction. I have put the cheapest wal mart crap through it that I could find and it will not fail with 165 or 180 grain. Groups are no larger than my fist at 25-30 feet which is beyoind avg defensive range. I paid 420 for it. Comes with 3 13rd mags and two extra back straps which I haven't had to use because it fits great right out of the box. I have a Kahr CW40 that I like a lot as well, but it takes a minimum of 200 rds to break it in and it likes heavier bullets (180). The Glock requires no break in. The G23 G4 is my favorite gun out of all of my guns, rifles and shotguns included. I got a good deal, but its worth every penny of 550. That is pretty cheap insurance to have my wife and four children protected with a gun that I know will fire every time I pull the trigger.
