Zeke Menuar,

The jury isn't out on the CZ-83. The CZ-83 is a very beautiful gun! Not only in looks but in function too.

Can't believe nobody posted a picture of an IMI SP-21!

I'd go find one, except I'm afraid to lose my lunch.

How about this for beauty? When I win the lottery this will be my carry piece!

From my collection...

...I'd say my P220ST is the best looking...the Prima Donna keeps me at the cleaning table longer than any of the others.

...Ugliest...gee...you won't tell, right? I guess the least beautiful would be my CZ-75 Transitional...she's got some scars on the slide...the finish is fading, and I needed to add sight paint so I could get a decent sight picture...but boy does she shoot :D nice.

Safe shooting,

CZ52'

Best Looking: Jericho 941, Desert Eagle, guns with full dustcovers in general(but that's just me).

Oh God My Eyes: Nambu pistols, XD pistols, so many of the older european automatics.

Ugly?

mod21004.jpg

The Gold Billboard for Thunder Ranch simply ruined an otherwise satisfactory revolver. I became convinced I'd never buy one simply by seeing that TR logo. Heck, my parkerized Mil-Spec looks better than the turd known as the Model 21. Oh, and those horrible S&W Performance Center revolver abominations!

This hurts, because I dearly love S&W revolvers more than any other handgun type or make. What are they thinking up there in Springfield, MA???

And replies...

Revolvers as a whole.

:evil:

Revolvers as a whole

I never had a revolver as a whole. I had one as a Python and I had one or two or five as Smith & Wesson and some others, but never as a whole.:D

In my opinion, the ultimate is style, the perfect combination of curves and function.... And damn sexy....

Beauty....

6" Colt Python or Luger for best looking.

but I have one on order now :D

As for ugliest - any of the aforementioned uglies will do.

best . 1911 mil spec, beretta 92fs and Glock23 everything about it says buisness

worst . hi-point

The correct answer :D is the pre-WWII Colt National Match. Pre-Series 70 Government Models are very nice, too.

For best looking, Colts, hands down. The M1860 Army or the Python have got to be in the running.

For ugliest? I had a friend who used the expression, "Ugly as a thrombosed hemmrhoid." For something REALLY ugly, he'd say, "Ugly as an English revolver." :p

Beauteous:

* Colt Python

* Colt Diamondback

* S&W Models 29, 19, pre-lock 66

* Colt or USFA SAA, esp. w/ ivory grips

* BHP

* CZ 75, esp. in non-blued finishes

Honorable mentions:

* Stainless SIGs -- sleek, soothing, a little boring

* Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter

Ugly:

* Glocks

* Hi-Points

* Ruger P-series autos . . . 'cept the P345, it's OK

* S&W's recent rash of mutated, George Jetson wheelguns (there is really no excuse for some of those designs)

Ugly, But Not to Me:

Ruger Super Redhawk -- can't help it, I like the brutish-looking things ;)

For guns in general the all time prettiest is the 1911. I'd have to say my favorite of those without going to an all out custom is the Kimber Eclipse.

For revolvers, I'd say the old Ruger Redhawk. The profile of that one is why I bought it. The Colt Python is close.

Ugly? Nambu, Webley, most have been mentioned.

I think the CZ 75 in .40 makes the Hi Power look ugly, and as someone on the CZ forum said the CZ 97 makes the 75 look awkward. Somtimes I just hold that gun just to hold it.

I think the Desert Eagle is pretty funny looking. Kinda like a female body builder that went to far.
