My better half has settled...

Took this trio out with my better half.
She's really enamored with the LCR.
She was ehh with the 351C. Her standard carry 431PD with Longs or H&Rs she's happy with. However, upon the first cylinder full with the LCR she turned slightly and grinned "oh I really like this one".

So, after trying various grips on Charter Arms, Smith & Wesson, and Sturm Ruger, in various power levels in calibers 22mag, 38spl, 32 Long/32 H&R mag, my better half has finally settled on her carry gun. The LCR loaded with H&R magnums.

Unless she wants to try the semiautos again I think she's found her gun.

Can’t argue with that setup. 32 is a bit under appreciated in the grand scheme of things, but especially at the 32 mag and 327 levels of performance. It’s plenty gun, and if she likes it and shoots it well then that’s a wonderful choice. For folks who whine about a 32 being big enough she can challenge them to a race for hitting 6 targets and then take her time aiming while they try to rush shots and reload before she gets done casually knocking down plates.

Is she your better half?

I'd handled an LCR or two before, but just recently acquired my first. Seems like a decent little revolver to me, especially the double action trigger; very smooth..

That superior D/A trigger is what won her over.

That’s the best way I know of to keep them shooting with you. Hats of to you for not finding it for her and shooting alone.

Although, being your better half, I am sure she didn’t just settle but stopped looking when she found the perfect one, for her. ;)

What a fantastic choice of caliber and revolver for a carry piece.
I am personally a huge fan of .32 h&r and use it as my EDC as well.

While I have not had the pleasure of trying out an LCR in .327 yet, I have heard great things about the LCR for less snappy rounds like the .32 h&r and .38 special.

Have you two settled on what exact ammo she is planning on using with hers? I like the .32 h&r Hornady Critical Defense, but it's getting much harder to find and thus have been thinking of switching to double taps 120gr hard cast since it is still subsonic, I hike/backpack frequently and it is decently priced/available.

Right now the 32s are loaded with federal 85gr jhp.

She loves these grips over the stock version. But let me tell you if Uncle Sam doesn't break it off in my rear end on taxes I'm getting one of those news Smith&Wesson centennial J framed 32 H&R magnums. I think it's gonna be the 632 was the model.
