I've taken my new wasr-10 to the range a few times now. i first was trying for 100 yards, and wasnt successful at all, so i moved to 50 yards. i hit about a 6 inch group (6 inches from the center in any given direction) taking about 5-7 seconds between shots to re-aquire the sights, so i wasnt trying THAT hard to be perfect. but then i moved it up to 100 yards again, and set up an old text book from a class i despised, and out of about 20 rounds, i hit it maybe 6 times.

I just dont like the sights on this gun. i'm just as accurate at 100 yards with my 12 gauge with an 18" barrel and nothing but a single bead on the muzzle of the barrel. is there any upgrade i can do without doing something like a scope that would look totally out of place on a gun like this?

i do realize that my aim may be part of it, but there's just something about these sights that i dont like. maybe i'm too used to the single bead sight that's on my shotgun. its almost like the front pin on the ak's sight is too big for my liking. i can put the sight where i think it should be on the target, then i can move the gun around a little and the pin will still be where it should be on the target

i secod mojo, also have you thought about a red dot? even a less expensive one would do great you don't have to spend alot of money to get a good one. the burris speed dots are nice.

This sight was designed for use with the AK, and was used by Russian forces in Chechnya and elsewhere; it fits the built-in AK siderail. All the labels are in Russian. :D

IMHO, AK's are easy to shoot badly and harder than some rifles to shoot well, due primarily to the short sight radius and far-forward location of the rear sight (the rear sight notch is also too narrow on some rifles, making it hard to center the front sight in the notch).

A dot sight really makes the platform much more user-friendly. Mine will do sub-2" groups at 50 yards, from a supported position.
