I just got my 2008 catalog from Deer Creek Products, Waldron, Indiana 46182, PO box 246. It lists Black powder.

Hazmat fee $240.
25 cans per case
Plus shipping

They also have Swiss at $400. Per case

Is that 240 bucks with the Hazmat fee added ?
I paid 256.00 to my front door for a case 25 cans of KIK powder from Powderinc ...The Goex would have been 296.00 to the door ....KIK powder is ok ..But I would have rather have had the Goex , been hooked on Goex a long time .

I suspect it is with the fee added. I havent bought any, some were saying they couldnt find any. Just trying to assist.

The hazmat fee generally cost about as much as one pound of swiss. Clarksville rod and gun of Clarksville ARK sells in minimum 25 pound lots with any mixture of powder types. You can get a 4 pound order from Graf's. Most places insist on a letter from you promising the powder is for lawful purposes and that you are 21.
It's fairly easy but you have to make sure theres an adult at home to sign for it when it arrives.

Thanks mec. Deer creek says they will mix. Ive always been able to buy it local but cant now. Ive got a couple of pounds left.

I haven't tried to buy it mail order. To buy it in a store around here is about a 90 minute round trip. I can buy pyro ten minutes from the house.

What do you all do with 25 lbs of the stuff?

Shoot it. It doesnt degrade over time. Friends buy it. If you shoot a Walker much you will be suprised how fast it goes.

It's a mail-order hobby now more than ever. The local stores are pretty unreliable for any black powder supplies with the sometimes exception of those modern inline deer hunting guns.
