Brag thread... While "everyone" was buying EBRs, I got a deal on X...

I've never gotten a deal on anything. Unless it was a gift. :)

But that hasn't stopped me from buying 4" blue '67 Python and a new FNP-45 USG this year. At least I didn't pay full list for the FN; about $150 under.

My local gun shop just closed last week. The absentee owners are getting old and wanted out. I'm friends with the guy that was running it and got some great deals over the last 5 weeks or so - New Uberti 1885 Highwall .45-70 $350, New Uberti 1873 Trapdoor Springfield $350, New Uberti 1871 Baby Rolling Block .22LR $250, New Mossberg Field 500 .410 $200, Used (92%) American Western Arms Lightning .45LC pump action rifle $200, Used (99%) S&W 22A-1 $150.
Plus I bought a bunch of accessories, reloading supplies, cleaning supplies, etc for 50-75% off as well.

I really didn't want or need the AWA Lightning but the deal was too good to pass up. I had it a week, never fired it, then took it to a local gun show and swapped it even for a new RIA 1911 .38 Super. I always wanted a 1911 in .38 Super so it worked out great for me.

I picked up a few very clean pistols for cheap during the panic months:
Interarms/Walther PPK/s, Bulgarian Makarov, FEG AP7, and a Carpati M74 (marked FEG by the importer). And I got a great sale price on another new Kel-Tec P32. Oh yes, I also got a very nice chrome Raven cheap during the panic months.

While AR prices were skyrocketing, I bought a S&W 642 from a member right here on THR.
Great deal, excellent transaction, made a new friend. How much better than that?

I've really been just getting ammo for the shotgun while everyone is searching for 7.62 or.223.

"EBR" is a joking acronym for "evil black rifle" that politicians demonize and want to ban.

The EBR stock that turns the M1A from a 9 lb. beast into a 15 lb. monster is a trademark that has nothing directly to do with the political joke/acronym, though I'm sure that's where they got the idea.

I missed that gun until yesterday I picked up an 85% 79 nickel for $500.

Very nice gun...thank you.

I have a used set of Type 2 Python target stocks with nickel fittings & screw that have been looking for a gun. I think '79 is a little late for them though.

Guess I'll keep looking.

I picked this little number up the week before the election. I would tell you the price but I don't want to hurt you all. I'm not real big on the vertical foregrip but I figured it would be illegal soon so it's best to get one now. I also picked up a box full of 30 round mags from Brownells.

Found a Norinco Tokarev copy in 9mm, good condition, for $199. Promptly traded it for a stereo system and a Cold Steel tanto. Gonna sell the stereo for 250-300 and keep the knife.

A .38 special Colt Diamondback in nickle, $150. Walther PP in .32, $200. A Ruger Blackhawk in .357, pre transfer bar, $250. A friend was dying and didn't want his wife dealing with the guns. I know they were worth more, but that was all he would take.

ArmedBear, aesthetically the gun was about 50%. Mechanically it is 100%. It locks up like a proverbial bank fault. It had barely been fired. It will be the best firearms purchase I'm likely to make for a very long time.
