Good news!
The way I set up my full size die was "FULL SIZE" even to the point where it would bottom out and then the lever would almost gently hump over clunk at the end into the bottom out position as the linkage would get upright, if you know what I mean. After seating the bullet, I put a moderate taper crimp on the cases.
The magic load was 4.8 gr Unique.
I went to the local gun shop and bought 2 boxes of Federal 115 gr bullets for target and a 20 ct box of 115 gr Federal Personal Defense.
Then I went to a wedding all afternoon ( which was nice ) and upon coming home I went out back and shot a magazine of the target Federal without a hitch. Man those were loud and had a lot more power than the Clays loads I was using at 2.8.
So I load up another 6 rounds of my 4.8 Unique 124 gr reloads that have been reworked and they shot maybe with slightly less punch but almost exactly like the Federal factory with no problem what-so-ever.
I am going to load up those 250 Nosler JHP 115 gr bullets I'll be pretty much duplicating the Federal Personal Defense bullets in size. I know I can use Unique now and I do swear by Unique. Seems like I know what to do with that powder after using up 8 lbs of it in all my handgun reloads.
VERY HAPPY now and by the way, I do like this pistol.
( I knew I would ! )
