Okay so heres what i want to know. Does anyone or has anyone made a 30-30 or bigger in the gunmetal (brass) receiver. I love the gunmetal look, but i hate the calibers. Theres something wrong about firing a revolver cartrige through a rifle. So I hope someone has an answer. Later all. :)

Someone may prove me wrong, but nope. Strength in steel. You can always have one plated.

And some of those calibers, .25-20 .32-20, .38-40 and .44-40 started as rifle cartridges and were only later chambered in revolvers.

To get enough strength you would have to carefully pick a high strength brass or bronze .Perhaps something like beryllium copper.

I don't know about the overall strength of brass-I'd be very leery of it-but I think it's ductility would allow the receiver to stretch quickly under full-power rifle pressures.
