after last year of trying to get 777 pellets to shoot and having to switch to 777 magnums to get my tc shockwaves to group well i decided to buy the breech plug for bh209. its only $9 more than loose 777 and supposed to be easier as i would have to swab every 2 shots unless i jack hammered the ram rod down.

Being a smokeless powder that's been altered for black powder use, it is almost non-corrosive. It also is 30% more powerful by weight than black powder. The flash hole from the primer must be cleaned of carbon buildup about every 6-8 shots using a small drill bit twirled by hand. Clean the gun with regular smokeless powder cleaners like Hoppe's #9 not with soap & water.

Do you like BH 209 vs T7 or energetic BP?

I use it in any muzzleloader that can be adapted to use a 209 primer. I shot a nice 7-pt. at ~ 110 yards last Nov. with my Hawken clone that had a 209 conversion for the nipple. I reload right away and may not clean the gun until deer season is over which can be more than a month later.

I don't want to sidetrack this fellas thread so I'll start one on BH 209 as I'm a bit curious. Hope you'll chime in as I know that you are also experienced in energetic powders as well.
