Has anyone here bought from them? I ordered a TC Encore on 9/11 and my order has been showing as 'shipping' since 9/16 without an update.

When I call them, I get no one and the message 'mailbox is full' on every one of the extensions I've tried.

I'm starting to feel uneasy. Hope they are just really backed up.

They should be answering the phone though...right?

Thanks for any other experiences. I'm probably just paranoid.
 
I have bought from Bud's before - they eventually shipped the ammo just fine.

The fastest shipping I have found to date is from www.luckygunner.com - they only display what they have in stock and they ship same/next day (and seem to keep a decent selection in stock).

Cabelas is the worst - it could be months before you receive anything . . . .

Thanks for the input. The most frustrating thing is that they can't answer the phone.

I've had EXCELLENT results from Cabelas. I've bought more stuff from them than I care to admit and they've always been perfect.

Bass Pro on the other hand is pretty bad...
 
Bud's is very responsive to e-mail. I don't even try to call anymore, for the most part. I just traded an XD-40 SC toward a new XDm 9 and had no issues getting ahold of them. My FFL claims that they tried for a week to get a copy of Bud's FFL, but I got on in under an hour after sending a single e-mail.
 
I also have had trouble getting answers to emails and getting through on the phone. But they are the real deal and probably the best place to buy handguns and long guns.
 
The root cause of this problem is that Bud's is a victim of its own success. They do such a high volume of business that they have trouble keeping up with it all. Dealing with that fact is a small price to pay for saving $100-200+ on a gun.
 
I've never had an issue with Buds, myself. They do seem to respond best to e-mail, I usually get a response within a couple hours, and never more than a day.
