An associate of my recently purchased a Browning High-Power MkIII 9mm. Before I get to my query, I have to state that it is the sleekest, all-around sexiest piece I have shot in some time. It is smooth, the recoil is gentle and it is certainly every bit as accurate as I am and more. Having gotten that out of the way...
We were not sure if it can handle any hot loads and assumed not. However, poking around on the Buffalo Bore ammunition website I discovered some 9mm+P+ 147gr. ammunition < http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm#9mm > and it specifically mentions the BHP MkIII, quoting a decent 1179ft/second. Does anyone know anything about putting +P+ 9mm like this through the High-Power MkIII? Apparently its possible, so is this a bad idea in any way? Anyone care to comment on this pistol and/or the Buffalo Bore ammunition?
