Bumper stickers to alert police - Opinions

I prefer a big sticker on the back window that says "Proudly protected by Smith & Wesson"... both cops and bad guys get the same message... 'this guy is armed'.
I don't expect to sway your opinion, but regardless of what you think the message is, what bad guys actually see is "free gun buffet".

I like these better:

"Keep honking, I'm reloading."
and
"Driver carries only $25 in ammunition"
and my fave
"Everything I need to know,
I learned at sniper school."

Actually, I don't have anything like them on my vehicle.

Also regaardless of whether or not you were required to inform or not I would out of common courtesy.

Do you also inform them whether you're wearing boxers or briefs? Out of common courtesy, that is.

Just what is that comparison supposed to mean?

LEOs only see your CCW data if they scroll to page 2 on their screens. Sometimes they get lazy and don't do that.

This is true in all states?

It is not true.

Anyone who speaks in absolutes and DOES NOT have their location in their info, or lets us know where they are speaking of is wasting their time and ours, when it comes to laws, and in this case, police procedures.

Bad idea.

And if you drive through an anti-CCW state?

Possibly probable cause for a stop and search?

Advertising for the car-jacker to shoot the driver?

Advertising for someone to follow you home and burgle your house?

This gives me an idea!
I'm going to start selling t-shirts with a big red arrow on the back pointing to the right pants pocket area. And underneath it will say " Don't look, but there's a gun under there."

In Michigan the officer only needs to run your license plate and your CCW information is on the screen. It is also attached to your drivers license. I don't want to display my CPL status for all the world to see using a bumper sticker. If I wanted everyone to know I would just carry OWB, which is legal in Michigan.

key word for me in CCW is concealed, therefore i am not gonna do anything that advertises that i am carrying. i don't open carry and i surely wouldn't have a sticker on my car saying that i was.

Ohio requires "prompt notification" during a stop for an official purpose.

A bumper sticker wouldn't meet the requirement.

I'm unalterably opposed to the notification requirement. I haven't the slightest intention of going it one better.

I don't advertise anything on my vehicles other than base stickers.

I did train everyone in my family to put their hands on their heads if I ever get pulled over. I expect that my CCW permit will show up, they will expect that I am armed, and seeing a minivan with wife and 3 young children with hands on their heads would have to seem pretty amusing to a police officer. And if they don't think it's funny, then (*&^ them.

I have plenty of Glock and Sig and XD stickers, and I don't put them on my cars either. I might as well stick them on my my hard cases, because it is pretty obvious what is in there anyway.

A long time ago, I thought it was cool to have a CCW permit. I've grown up. I'm sure that in hindsight, anyone would have to admit advertising something that is supposed to be concealed is kinda silly.

This has nothing to do with "alerting" the police. That's just an excuse. As somebody already said, this is about getting attention and trying to look "cool". Nothing more.

That was my thought. In states that require notification, I doubt that a bumper sticker would meet the requirement, and in states that have no such requirement, I personally wouldn't notify unless directly asked by the LEO. In either case, the bumper sticker would serve no useful purpose.

Besides which, I don't want every random person who walks past my vehicle in the mall parking lot to wonder if I have a handgun in my glovebox.

Apparently they are to alert police you are a licensed to carry so the cops know you have a gun during a traffic stop.
An LEO would already know that information after running my license plates....or after I tell him, since I am required to do that immediately.
Plastering my car with stickers declaring that I am a CCW holder is just plain stupid on so many levels.
I need a CCW hat, a CCW logo on my shirt back and front, a big "CCW HERE!" sign around my neck....and a CCW BADGE !
Why carry concealed if you advertise the fact with signs?
.

My tag says Gunluvr, which is a warning to the cops and the crooks; I also have 2% tint on my windows. I don't want anyone to be surprised.

What a ridiculous concept.

No bumper stickers of any sort, "plain vanilla" (non-vanity) license plates, clean, clutter free interior (no coinage, loose small bills or electronic devices laying about to tempt the weak minded) in, on or about my vehicle.

"Invisible" is the way to go.

I wanna "blend" into the background and be as non-descript as possible.

Why draw unnecessary attention to oneself?
