I've never scoped a rife before, so I'm not sure how this works. I picked up a Burris 2.75x20mm scout scope and now I need rings to mount it on a weaver rail.

My questions are:
1. Will low hight rings fit?
2. Do I get a one-piece mount or two? Advantages of either?
3. And finally, will 1" rings fit? Isn't my tube diameter 20mm, or 0.79"?
4. Is there anything I, in ignorance, left out?

Sorry if this has been explained to death, but I couldn't find anything specific with THR search or google.

Thanks

The ID of the scope's objective lens is 20mm; the OD of the main tube is 25.4mm/1 inch. Use 1 inch rings.

With this scope, you will not have objective diameter issues driving scope ring height, and you can use low, medium, or high rings. Which you prefer will be dictated by the scope height that works best for you as you shoulder the rifle.

If the rifle does not yet have a scope mount onto which the rings will bolt, you will need one. All scout-style Weaver mounts are one-piece.

What kind of rifle are you going to mount this on?

This is going on a 91/30 using one of darrell's weaver scout mounts. The one peice/two peice thing was about the rings. I've seen rings which share a commnon base, which then clamps on a rail. Are two seperate rings preferable? Thanks
