Well I guess I feel the need to reply. Before we invaded Iraq. Al Qaeddas only
prescense was a small enclave in a kurdish controlled area on the Iranian
border.
There goals were simple. Overthrow Saddam Husein. They werent even Al Qaeda foot
soldiers. They were affiliated with them though. Saddam Husein wanted them gone
but was hampered by the no fly zone we enforced.
Now we have a full blown offshoot of Al Qaeda operating in Iraq, with the recent
WWF like public proclamation by Al Zarqawi of joining forces with Osama Bin
Laden.
We also have Jihadists coming over the border to fight us. Allah says it is a
good thing you know. But this is a point many dont think about. The statement we
are fighting them there so we dont have to fight them here is ludicrous. Just
because we are fighting Al Qaeda and other insurgents,guerillas,baathists etc in
Iraq does not and will not preclude another attack on United States soil.
It is coming. It is going to happen. Then all the insipid jingoistic slogans
like "We are fighting them there so we dont have to fight them here" will seem
silly.
As far as posting here I am done. I have been ghosting these boards for awhile
and i am sorry I registered. I posted an opinion becuase i thought maybe i
should get involved. I was wrong. I dont like being attacked for my views. And i
thought PMs Were PMs.

What, exactly are these problems in Iraq of which you quote? OMG -- We're losing soldiers IN A WAR? Maybe you and your D.U. buddies should look up the word "WAR" in a non-censored, free-state-produced dictionary!
