Well, looks like a may end up with two rifles (oh darn). I think an AR type .308 for target shooting will do nicely and maybe something lighter in a bolt for hunting. I was looking at the DPMS LR308 and I believe its 11 pounds empty. More than I wish to lug around hunting. Do any of you folks have a scope that you move back and forth between a target and hunting rifle? or is that too much messing around?
About the title of the thread:
I thought it was a bit funny. I called the wife over to read it.
Me "Read this." (not telling her I wrote it)
Wife "that's stupid"
Me "you don't find it funny at all?"
Wife "No, I think who ever wrote that is an idiot."
Only between two AR's, but with picatinny rails, it's as easy as pie. I don't know if I have just been lucky, but the difference in zero between the two is only a couple of clicks, and generally only takes a shot or two to make sure I made the proper adjustment.
