Posted this on a couple of other forums but wanted to spread my news. Just ordered an 1851 Navy London from Cabella's. They finally had them on sale again. $249.99 and also a $20 rebate. They had them on earlier this summer for this price with $5 shipping but I didn't have the money. Have been wanting one for a long time as I don't have any .36 cal BP guns. In stock and to be delivered Friday the 18th.

I've had my fix for the week!

BP revolvers are best had in pairs. It's a team effort kind of thing! My brass 58 Remington was lonesome so I ordered another one, but this one is steel. A big .44 steel frame with a top strap and a safety notched cylinder, definitely worthy of my collection. I'm going to get a .36 Colt one of these days, but I will probably get it another Colt to keep it from getting lonesome.

I am thinking about getting an 1860 Army from Dixie Gun Works, they have the completed pistol for $195 and the kit for $175 or so. Being a steel framed Colt that seems like a pretty good deal to me. I just watched "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and I'm temped to buy an 1860 Army! hehe!

hey where ya at Ozark Guy, I am in Douglas county.

I blame all of you guys who post on here and show your pictures of you cap n ball revolvers. It is all your fault! I have been obsessed for weeks and now have purchased 2 new BP revolvers. I told my wife who is to blame... It is not my fault, I was enticed, entrapped, coerced. It was the voices in my head telling me to do it... ;)

Indy, we are in neighboring counties. I am in the northwest corner of Webster Co just north of I-44. I've got a couple of 1860s also, a regular Pietta and a fluted cylinder Uberti. They are cool revolvers!

I can't believe you people buying "one". don't you know bp revolvers get loney unless there are at least two.

At a certain point, one of a model is all you need.

After seein a picture of one of these, I may have to get one too. It doesn't have the 'trumpet horn' grip frame like the regular Navies do. Hmmmmm I wonder how many Cabelas Club points I have left??????

I am on scrounger money at present, my retirement looks bleak. I may have to sell body parts by then, too bad they are already worn out!

Got the 1851 Navy London Tuesday evening. Real pleased with it. Here's a pic that's not very good as I was in a hurry and it shows a lot of glare on the barrel and frame. Finish is perfect with real pretty case colors.

I've had a '51 Navy for a number of years and it is hands down the most natural pointing revolver I have ever shot.

I have always been a big fan of the '60 Army and the '61 Navy, but that right there is one beautiful '51 Navy. Congrats on a fine purchase.
