Being honest. Anyone honestly say. "I have enough guns"?
To some enough may be 1, to another it my be 40 and yet another 100 +
I am at that point that I can say I have enough. There are one or two grail guns I would love to have. But I am at that point in my life I am not looking, needing or wanting another gun. I love all I have. I try and shoot every thing I have at least once a year.
I'm so glad I took up reloading 35 years ago. Makes it that much easier and fun to shoot.
I have my favorites that get shot more than others, and my ccw's get a rotation and turn to be carried.
I just am at that state being in my late 50's I am more content to just tinker, test and enjoy the guns I have and not wanting more and more

I don't have enough, but I'm less than half a dozen. I think If I get in the 2 dozen range, I'll have enough. I don't want more than I can handle, more than I can remember. I find reloading and casting, and tinkering on loads the most enjoyable part. I do enjoy shooting, but not blasting for the sake of it anymore.

Am a user, not collector.
Have had a variety over the years.
Hunt less, shoot less, don't need much these days.
Eyes and body aging, got rid of stuff that wasn't optics friendly.

Let's say this; I am satisfied with what I have. Enough or too, much is subjective which no one will agree just like our elected officials.

I always say that's it until something else comes along that catches my fancy. I have been thinning my herd since I finally decided why let firearms ride the safe for years. Plus it gives me some cash for other things. I'm not getting any younger and my kids would sell them anyways except for a couple...ymmv

I think you can. I have more than I need and will be thinning things out. Its more about how many I can maintain. I have eight that I will be selling before years end which still leaves me with a lot. So yes you can have too many and sometimes, you can never have enough.

I don't have em all so I don't have enough. Seriously though, I seldom go to a gunshow or gunstore that I don't have the "I'd like one of those!" feeling. Happens a little less in recent years. Not because I have enough but because I have zero interest in plastic guns and they seem to be more and more of the market. Just a personal preference. Kinda like having a Muscle Car mentality while standing on a lot full of minivans and rice burners.

Yes. I own, or have owned, pretty much every single gun I’ve ever wanted or needed. I have duplicates of many.

As a matter of fact, I’m culling the herd. I kinda feel like I’m controlled by my possessions. And, I don’t really like it.

The one problem I have is I have sentimental guns. Guns I have a history with. First duty gun. Award guns and guns engraved with my name. My dads guns.

There’s at least 25 that are in that group.

Fortunately, I have two sons I can saddle them with.

Funny...this might as well be a photo taken at a LGS...;)

As for me, there's always one or two I think I might "need" at some point, but there are plenty more in the safe I could spend productive time with. Besides, I've seen it before, and I don't want anyone to have to deal with my "junk" after I'm gone, so I try to keep it organized, inventoried, and in check.

I don't think I've got too many but starting to think I've got enough at age 72. I didn't own a handgun until 2015 so I had a lot of catching up to do but think I'm there now. Same goes for reloading components I've stocked up on to keep ammo cost down & give me something to do in wintertime.

I have more guns than I can shoot on a consistent basis. Maybe that means I have too many. I don't consider myself a collector. I intend to, and make every effort to, shoot every gun I acquire. Sometimes there is just not enough time. No disrespect meant to those who do like collecting guns. However, there are still some guns I am actively working to acquire.

The last year or so I have begun to sell some guns, mainly ARs, that I put together a number of years ago before I became as discerning about the components I now use. Some I upgrade; others it is just cheaper to sell and rebuild with better components.

I doubt I will ever get to a point where I stop wanting to acquire more guns. There are always new calibers I want to try out or upgrades I want to make to existing guns I have.
