can we have a non fanboy discussion about glock?

Limpwristing can happen to any handgun, regardless of the brand name. It doesn't happen more to Glocks than it does to other guns. My girlfriend shot my G19 and she definitely had the worst grip on it possible. The empty flew right into her shirt and she got burned because of how poor of a grip she had on it. It still didn't cause a malfunction and the next round loaded properly.

I'm no fanboy and, infact, I've sold all my Glocks(i miss the 19 though...) due to other reasons. They still are rock-solid reliable guns and don't have any inherant limpwristing problems. Don't believe everything you hear..even if it came from a cop's mouth.

The only time my G19 has malfunctioned is when I let my GF's 10 year old son fire it. He managed to get it to malfunction (can't remember if it was a FTE or FTF) but then again, he has been able to do the same with any gun that's not a revolver. I (and others) have since put hundreds of rounds through the weapon without so much as a hiccup, so I'm positive it was the way he was holding it. I'm not sure what this has to do with having a non fanboy discussion about Glocks, but I will say that I think limpwristing is possible.

hey...
in response to post #1...

the first time I shot my uncles Glock .40, I was about 15
and I had the "limp wrist" thing going...it jammed a lot.
Now that being said, since then, I have owned two Glocks,
the first a Glock 17C, and then I sold it and bought a Glock 19
compact.
My wife has shot them, with no limp wrist problems.
I have shot them and I have no problems either. A side note on this
is that neither my wife or I are particularly large people...
so we don't have the Iron Grip of a vice. :)
Also, I noticed that compared to my Ruger P89, and my
Bro-in-Law's Beretta 92, and his compact Smith & Wesson,
my glock had a lot less felt recoil. (all listed guns were 9mm)
Again, at 6'1", and 155 lbs, I'm not exactly the
"immovable object". So I'd like to think I
was objective about the felt recoil...I love my Glock, but my
next handgun will probably be a Kimber or some other 1911
style handgun. just my meager input.
