Hey Norm, such statements of bigotry and hatefullness would be saddening if they weren't just plain stereotypical and oh so boring.
I am neither hateful nor a bigot. I am however, observant of current political trends. Open your eyes friend.

Just to clear up some confusion...I was a mental health profession (my masters is in abnormal psychology with a concentration in psychobiology and teaching).
The only thing bad is that once they are legal to own we need to make sure there are limits as to who can produce and market or some gun makers will flood the market with cheap, unsafe autos solely for the black market. I do not think it is the law abiding citizen that buys one that will be any problem (like you or me) but instead some greedy corporation or gun maker than sees a way to make a quick buck.
I am not sure were this "an armed society is a polite society" idea comes from? Can anyone tell me? I have been in coutries where they have an armed society and trust me...you would not want to live there. It is like living in constant civil war between religous factions, ethnic backgrounds, and political factions. Just because you wish something were so does not make it possible.
I can attest to that, I know that when we came under fire one time in panama I hid behind the blade of an earth mover, held my 9mm over my head and fired wildly into the tree line without even raising my head to look.
US ARMY veteran. Outside that I was a police officer for like 2 weeks before getting activated and sent to Iraq but never went back to it and never saw any real violence as an LEO.
Hmm ... December 20, 1989 ... where was I? Oh, that's it ... Enjoying the hospitality of Naval Station, Rodman, Panama ... I don't recall seeing any Berettas -- they were pretty doggone rare then, we in the USN and USMC didn't have 'em -- but I sure saw (and had my own) a buttload of M1911A1s. Earth mover? Tree line? And just where were you? And with what unit?Quote:

Hey, I used to drink with our ass't PAO, a master chief journalist; he made sure I got back to the base in one piece and didn't get arrested ...I was public affairs.
You just have to make sure they wear their good flip-flops to the bar and don't accidently hit you with those big plastic watches while hoisting a drink ...Never trained with Navy Seals, but did drink with one once.
