I'm biased towards what works best for me. I have found the CZ Rami 9mm is the perfect combination of size and shoot-ability. I also like that I can change the grips to a nice set of wood. Having a backup magazine with 14 rounds isn't too bad. I went for the pistol that was a compact size but that I shot most accurately. I knew that I would be able to find a holster that would make concealing a compact easy. After carrying a sub compact it was already lighter and small than what I was used to. It looks great to me too.

I did carry a XD9sc on and off for years before finally settling on the CZ.

Glock G19 or a CZ 75D PCR, if you want to hit what you intend. Not to mention getting acceptable performance from 9mm defensive ammunition. 9mm is considered by many to be marginal as far as adequate stopping power, Chances are it will take more than one shot to neutralize a threat. Therefore I would get a pistol that can offer faster more accurate follow up shots, like a G19 or PCR. It is not about hiding a weapon on your person, it is about surviving an armed confrontation

HK p2000sk

*ignore the magazine fitment issue...i modified the baseplate (its from a glock)..need to get a new one and do a better job lol

For under $400 you can pick-up a new Sig SP2022, it is a great shooter and the best trigger you ever felt.

Kahr. Any variation.

Thin single stack is more important for carrying than length or height IMO, unless you cargo-pants-pocket-carry.

CZ 75 D PCR, P-07 Duty, P-01, or Rami 2075 would all get my vote before anything on the list.

The 75 D PCR and P-01 are both metal frame guns that hold 14 rounds and come in at the size of a Glock 19. The P-01 is a NATO tested side arm and has an official NATO serial number. It is one of the most tested guns introduced to the market in the last few years. It also replaced the CZ 75 as the Czech National Police's sidearm.

The CZ P-07 is polymer and actually a little thinner than the metal framed CZs. So, it has two more round. The grip is very textured and can be irritating if not carried right. However, the gun has passed NIJ testing for carry by American police officers. Mine has been dead on reliable. The only issues came from over pressurized Winchester Ranger FMJ rounds.

The Rami 2075 is a subcompact available in polymer or metal. The polymer is about $100 less. Both are light weight and easy to carry. As with most CZs they are tough as nails and fun to shoot. They come in at about 6.5 inches long and 4.5 inches tall. Their size compares favorably with th Glock 26.

I currently own two Kahr CW9s (one for me, one for wife)---these are 100% reliable and very lightweight plus both shoot right to point of aim. Thats my choice!

Hey everbody, ain't been hereawhile. My carry consist of aP220 in 9m/m,old gun and a Detonics PKT9,heavy little piece, but accurate for me.Gotta PF-9,too.I don't carry it too much.

I love that there are so many good options.

I picked a Ruger SR9c, but I doubt you would go wrong with any of the choices.

I own a g26. But it now sits in the back of the safe. Carry my kahr pm9 and keltec pf9.
