Had a conversation with a VERY pro gun lady that has not shot a gun in over 20 years. She still carrys, but does not prcatice. BTW, she did win sharpshooters award at an NRA shoot many years back. We're about to fix that not shootin' thing though!
Anyhow, wayyyyy back her Dad gave her a gun and told her to carry it everywhere she went except across state lines. She believed him, end of story. I tried repeatedly to convince her that she can if she follows the laws of the state she is visiting. I'm thinking she, and he, was confused with the selling across state lines. I'm not talking about CWP on her person, but in her car.
Is there a link someone can point me to that I could have her visit to get a proper education on the federal laws of carrying and state laws? I know Packing.org is now gone, and cannot remember the new site to go to.

While state laws vary, in most states I believe it would be illegal to carry a loaded gun in your glove box without a carry permit. Since the gun would be in arms reach it would be considered concealed carry. If the gun is in your trunk and unloaded it is considered unaccessable and would be legal without a permit.
