CC NC;how long wait

We had this thread going and I lost it. March 3rd my shooting partner turned his paperwork in. Mecklenburg co. In the past 87 days.
My shooting partner got his notice to pickup the license yesterday
45 days
Has the waiting changed for any others. Thanks

It took me about 35 to 40 days to get mine earlier this year. I think state law allows up to 90 days to issue or provide notice of denial. I will say that the CC class I attended was quite large and the instructors mentioned that the class sizes have grown considerably. Maybe the system is busy processing the applications.

I'm in Rutherford county. I have been waiting 70 days today. I called over a week ago and they said it was on the officer's desk who takes care of the permits and I should hear back from them soon. So, it took about 5 weeks for the dept to get it back from Raleigh, and it looks like they are just dragging their feet on it now.

I believe the law allows 90 days and some departments use the full amount of time. Sometimes, on the initial application, the medical checks take longer due to the applicant moving frequently from state to state.

At renewal time, remember - it can also take 90 days so apply early!
