I've had very good results with "cheap" guns.
FEG PJK-9HP, a Hi-Power Clone, has been very reliable and accurate.
Romanian SAR-3: tons of fun.
NEF Ultra-Varmit in .223--OK, I 'splurged' and got the 'fanicer' NEF single shot with bull barrel. But man, does it shoot. Sub-MOA at 200 yards. Prairie dogs fear it.
Swiss K-31--hate to say it, Makarov owners, but I think the K-31 beats the Mak as 'best value in firearms today.' $120 "fully loaded" and it shoots sub-MOA with my handloads. And it is as cheap to shoot as any .308 with my handloads.

Me too! Except mine is the PT-145. Someday I'll get ambitious and write a range report on it.I recently bought a Taurus PT140 Millennium Pro which gives me more "warm fuzzies" than any other gun I have. It is one of my current favorites.
