He wouldn't shoot and ruin the collector value of the gun. Plus the gun would end up in the police lock up. No way he would fire the gun.

Are you saying you took the original post as anything but tongue in cheek? It was meant as humor as a way to deflect if not defuse his disappointment of knowing he would lose the bid of an overpriced item. I see that as healthy not low road. Perhaps later JohnKSa will chime in and settle the question.

Less than half of $30,000 you could own this magnificent Westley Richards ! aND IF YOU JUST HAD TO SPEND YOUR $30,000 YOU COULD ALSO ADD A CASED WESTLEY RICHARDS RIFLE. The value will always go up !
