@9mmepiphany: The P9S looks like it has a M9-style safety. Do you like that safety or the more common P30/HK45 style safety?

Doesn't really make much difference, you just have to know how to take it off during the draw. BTW: If you define " more common" by the number of pistols with that type of thumb safety, the slide mounted one is more numerous

The P9S slide mounted safety is easier than the S&W Gen 3 safeties to disengage and requires just a hair more push than one on a Beretta M9...You just draw with a high thumb.

The cool thing about the P9S is that the hammer is internal. It is cocked and de-cocked via a lever. There was also a modification of a larger shelf welded onto the safety lever and canted slightly to make pushing it off faster in IPSC competitions

@9mmepiphany:

Is that by number of pistols designed that way or by number sold?

The P9S is definitely a cool looking gun. I have never heard of it before.

Well, if I may add another restriction to your list, I would bet my life on my Colt 1991A1, which is a 1911. This is because this is the gun that I routinely "bet my life on" as my EDC.

My additional restriction is that the gun I would choose would have to be one already in my possession. None of my other pistols meets your criteria and I don't waste my time worrying about such matters with respect to guns I do not own.

;)
