Cowboy Mounted Shooting

I am interested in getting into cowboy mounted shooting competition,so I went to one saturday.It was interesting and a lot of fun to watch.I have to buy some gear to get started.here is pictures of what goes on.All ages were involved in shooting from 5 yr olds to a woman who was 76 they call her Granny oakley. and she was fast and didn't miss a shot.There were a lot of women shooters.

Yeah, just be careful. I remember the time my brother was showing off and fired a 44 mag from horseback. He went up, the handgun went sideways and it took eight people to catch the horse. Not his finest moment.

what kind of loads do they shoot?

I can shoot off of 2 of my horses now they use ear plugs now it helps out and I wouldn't want to hurt my horses hearing anyway.

PS: Where might I find "Suburban Mounted Shooting"? I'd love driving around a mock-up nasty neighborhood shooting at BG targets and mock-up getaway vehicles...
