Good Morning THR Forum,
Can someone clarify the process for me on renewing a cpl in Michigan?
To my understanding...
1. You can apply to renew your CPL 6-months prior to its expiration.
2. You need to bring $115 check to the count clerk office with the application.
(now here is the confusing part..)
3?. You tape the receipt of your application fee to your old license?
- Even if its not expired.
- Keeps you active until you get your class time (3 hours + 1 hour range).
4?. Take the Class / Range Time?
- are you supposed to do this before you apply for a new one?
5. Destroy the old one once you get a new one?
All comments welcome, I'm just confused on the actual process / time frame...
- Seems a little loose to me?
Thanks,
Ron.
