Seems to me that the resident gun expert on the show, Callie, also referred to a gun's magazine as a clip at least a couple of times. You don't habve to be an expert to catch that one, either.
The goth lab woman in NCIS did the exact same thing on last nights episode. I even caught myself saying "magazine" after every time she said "clip".

And while not strictly gun related I hate how the CSI labs have a database for every product ever manufactured and every CSI is an expert on, well, everything. CSI1: "I found this 1921 corn muffin mold at the crime sceen". CSI2: "Ah! corn muffin molds were invented by John Tittzwillow in 1901 and were made of a type of lead alloy created by the Apache Indians. Let's run it through our Corn Muffin Mold database and blow this case wide open!". CSI1: gives CSI2 a dramatic stare and says, "I'm gonna get some coffee, you want some?".
Also hate how CSI lab techs boss the cops around.
