CZ 75 Compact questions

The stock rubber grips on my PCR are fine. I have one 14rd mag and 2 10rd mags as spares. Full size CZ 75 15 rd mags also fit but hang down.

CDNN has high capacity magazines for CZ compact 9mms from time to time. They are Mecgar brand. $17.99. They work real well. :)

Compact mags will fit all of the "compact" CZ that are based on the 75B interchangeably.

Many of us use Pro-Mag (that ugly word) 75b Compact .40 mags in the 9mm guns, as they work fine, and hold 14 rounds of 9mm. (These are the ONLY Pro-Mags I recommend to folks, but they've done these mags right.) They won't work in the oldest compact CZs, however, as those guns have tighter mag wells.

I've never seen any true factory (14 or 13 round) Compact CZ mags on CDNN, and I check there all the time. All of us on the CZ Forum are constantly looking for them...

Full-size hi-caps will work in the compact guns, but won't fit flush. They'll stick out an extra 1/2" or so.

CDNN does have them

I just checked the CDNN website. They do have Mec-Gar compact 14 rounders now, for $17.99. First time I have seen any standard capacity CZ magazines there.

SP-01 mags will fit into the P-01 etc, yes. CZ's other monster high cap 9mm (Sport Tactical? or something like that) will not, if I'm not mistaken (and may be -- I have an SP-01 and P-01, but haven't seen the other model).

Any fullsize 75 mags will fit in a compact version of the 75 (CZ) -- they just won't fit fllush. (The 40P is based on the 75 design, even the 40B can use standard CZ mags -- only the base plate is different. The SP-01 and the P-01 are 75s: 75B SP-01, and 75B P-01.)

The larger (fullsize mags) are excellent backup/carry mags. Put a smaller one in the gun, and carry the fullsize mag on your belt.

(The 40P mag shown in the photo above is a full size mag with a cosmetic baseplate added to make it look like an extension of the grip.)

The Pro-Mag CZ-75B Compact .40 mag works well and fits flush, and when used in a 9mm gun, holds 14 rounds. This is the only Pro-Mag I recommend. Many of us on the CZ-Forum use this particular Pro-Mag and have done so for several years with good results.

I ordered the cz 75 d compact pcr. Shipped it next day air so I should get it today. I am waiting on the call from the dealer that handled the ffl for me. I will be leaving work early today to pick up my new gun. I can not wait to get my hands on the gun so I can break it down and give it the first cleanning. I plan on going to the range on Saturday to test her out. Range report will follow.
