CZ handgun I drank the Kool-Aid

Truly excellent guns.

My PCR (75D) has used about 1100 rds. I keep a piece of almost every ammo box.

Until you have evaluated your gun, avoid the very crappy, bizarre Winchester "Forged" ammo-. Otherwise>>> my PCR has been 100% reliable<<< , and this is with typical low-cost 'range ammo' such as Federal, Win. 'white box' etc.
Even the "Mil. Arms Channel" claimed that his handguns' first malfunctions were with Win. "Forged" (brown/black boxes).

They used to be the best kept secret in handguns, not so much anymore. I bought my first CZ 75 about 10 years ago, and I immediately ditched my Sigs not long after. I used a standard 75B and 75B SA for several years in various matches and carried a P-01.

I've had a few broken slide stop levers and trigger return springs, not uncommon with them. I always kept a spare slide stop in my bag just in case.

I still have a P-09, it's a very soft shooting polymer and I've come to like it more than their metal guns.

I am not trying to talk you into a P365. But there is a version of the P365 that has a frame mounted safety. So it’s really the buyer’s choice as to what to get.

Yes I know about that version with the safety but I now find myself drawn to the SAS model with it's FT Bullseye Fiber-Tritium sight!

I will carry either my P-07 or my 2075 RAMI. I also wear boots made in Slovakia. So at about knee level, I'm practicing Easter European unity. Or another civil war. I take it day by day.

Put one in your hands before you buy one, I cannot for the life of me get used to that sight. I find myself tilting the gun downwards to just get the thing to light up for me. I do like the smooth slide, but I'm keeping my regular one. :)

well here goes I bought a CZ 75 sp01 a while back and I really like it , I have been fondling the 75B - P01 - and the P07 and P09 and I like the as well , I have come to think the CZ's are a bit under rated and not so popular for some reason ?
I have been a Glock shooter and a sig fan for years but I have been thinking of selling my glocks and replacing them with CZ's
for those of you the have had CZ's for some time any big issues ? do they have good customer service if needed ?
to me they seem like a solid well built gun ?
any CZ input appreciated !
Thanks

Although of Czech heritage, I never had a CZ gun (except for a few Mauser rifles) until about 6 weeks ago. Boy what I have been missing, my matte stainless 75B fits my Bohemian farmer hands to a tee, and shoots beautifully. Looks like more are in the near future. Wife even is supportive.

That's some mighty fine Kool Aid

I bought a CZ75 SP-01 last year, its easily my favorite 9mm ever.

They are well made and the company does stand behind them. I bought two at once, the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical and the Rami. I was going to get back into IPSC with the 75 and carry the Rami. The foray back into IPSC didn't work out because of logistics but the 2 or 3 matches I did shoot with it didn't go well (not the gun's fault though, it was too new to me). After that and on a solo trip to the range I compared it to my Sig P226 Elite. The Sig felt better in my hand, the sights were better and my groups were tighter. I'm not crazy about the slide design (the small height of it) either. I liked both models but never quite reached loving them.

So just today I shipped the 75 out to its' new owner! I'm also selling the Rami. I feel it's a bit chunky for CCW and there are better choices for my taste.

I got the 75 compact model a few years ago and like it overall. Two potential cons you may want to consider:
1. The base plate on all of my mags protruded in front of the grip. They are thin and I call them pinky stabbers. Easily cut and filed. Not an issue on all pistols.
2. The chamber is a bit on the tight side. If you reload you will reach the lands sooner than other pistols.

I like it for single action plinking most of all. For carry it didn't work for me. The beaver tail digs into the base of my thumb on every draw from concealment and results in a bloody mess after a few mags. It doesn't feel good either. And I could never master the trigger to the extent that I was on par like a striker fired gun.

I had heard the buzz about CZ's for a while but never got around to buying one. Mainly because I don't shoot DA/SA trigger guns very well. Then, about a year ago, I found a CZ75 B SA, so I bought it. I love that gun. Many people compare the CZ 75 and the Sig 226 (which I also previously owned). I like the CZ better.

slidestops break. But they break at around 30,000 rounds. Most aluminum framed guns are considered worn out by then. I have seen a CZ with that high a round count, aside from a broken slidestop, it looks new. I have 1911's that see a hard use, and they break parts WAY more often. CZ parts aren't cheap, and you aren't finding them locally, and thats the tradeoff. Never heard of another part breaking.

CZ handgun quality = VZ-58 rifle quality, in my opinion. This is a Czechpoint, not a Century version.
Imported by Czechpoint USA: striker-fired, millled action, short piston (Not an AKM).

Why not have both? My CZ PCR really likes its big brother. I needed no convincing about the Czech rifles' quality after owning an older CZ PO1 and a newer PCR (75D).
This is from Google images.

I bought my first 75 10 years ago and never looked back. Best pistols out there IMO
