I have had the pleasure of owning several CZs in the last few months....the 75B, the PCR and the P01...I am trading off the P01 and sold the 75B...but not because I didn't love them...only because I can't carry a 9mm on duty anywhere and I use a .40. Guys just a suggestion from a fellow shooter who loves to shoot.

The CZ is a wierd name brand that not many people know about but they are the most accurate out of the box 9mm manufactured...including Sig, Glock, HK etc.

The ergonomics and trigger is the stuff dreams are made.

The sights have a crappy filling in them, but they are easily painted in and for those who like the "crisp" SA, you still wont like the creep of a DA, but you may like the CZ SA.

This may sound like an advertisement for CZ....but I trust my life to them...I will always keep my PCR....besides, if someone else knew of somthing this good that was in this price range I would feel robbed not knowing about it.

Good shooting.:)

I agree, that the CZs are absolute jewels, specially when considered their price. As being the finest 9mm know to man.... well I know some others I would rather have. :D

I have to agree, the czs I own are as good if not better than any other gun out there, the low cost is just an added bonus ;) ......tom

I saw finest 9mm known to man and mistook this for a Ruger thread. Sorry guys, I'll leave your CZ post now ;) :D

Well!...There's no doubt in my mind that the CZ is the finest 9mm. known to you, alduro. :D
Nothing wrong with waving the flag for your favorite pistol.

Nuff said :)

Have to agree with the last two posters, Andrew a little more. ;)

Never shot a 210 or a 9mm 1911, to be fair, but the BHP and Sig 226 are pretty darn good, IMHO. My buddy's CZ feels nice in my hand and shoots accurately, but I'm not too crazy about the trigger. Makes me concentrate more.

You guys need to talk to the people who sold their HK's and Sigs to get PCR/PO1's.

Sure the 75B isnt a 210....NO ONE will say that, in regards to accuracy.
But Ive had a couple that would "rival" a good 210 in ANY shooters hands.

Ill have to agree that Sigs and indeed, BHP's are stellar weapons. But you guys are gonna have to admit CZ's are coming up in the market in reputation and (bummer) price too. They will be sold right next to and along with the best guns in the world.

Ive got a couple of CZ's Ill still put against anything you guys want to show up with for a comparison. You may not walk away from the range a total convert......but youll walk away smiling and youll walk away impressed!

Shoot well...................

I agree. My PCR is one of the last pistols I would sell. The 75B and the Kadet Kit, would also be tough to get rid of. They are fantastic. I passed up Sigs and HK's to get these and its got nothign to do with price as I have several other much more expensive guns, but none "better".

Ditto on the PCR being one of the best 9's going. Can't wait to bring home his little brother, the RAMI, in about 4 weeks :D

hmmm....

you can't take the word of a guy named "Frenchy" when it comes to combat tools..haha.

Alduro, arguably, the CZ 9mm pistols are the best in the world for the money. Sigs and HKs cost at least $200 more and are not that much better. However, my favorite CZ is the model 83 in .380. With its fixed barrel, I can shoot groups that match the accuracy of my Kimber Stainless Target II .38 super, which cost nearly three times as much.

I'm coming around, but here's my gripes.
#1 the Trigger: it's short in leanght, I feel like my finger will slip off the end!
#2. The sight's, most examples I have shot, the Front is too short and the rear is too high!!!! This seems to be an eastern Euope thang????
#3 Pointability, it just points kinda akward for me, my other 9mm's; sig's, BHP's, Walther's, S&w's seemed to have spent much more time in this dept. With the BHP being the most similar to the CZ.

All that said, I am very excited to see the RAMI. Dunno If I'll scoop one up, but it has some very appealing features. Like the internal slide lock, and the traditional DA/SA mode of op.:D

They are without doubt fine guns, but the finest 9mm known to man? Nay, for production guns that would have to be the p210 with the P7M8 close behind.

Course you could have five or so CZ's for one p210.......

Finest gun in their price range, perhaps. Still, is a Mercedes THAT much better than a Honda? Reliability stats say otherwise. A CZ is certainly a better value than a P210 and would seem to have an edge in most combat scenarios.

I have a bunch of CZs. I had a P-210-6.

The only "edge" the CZ has over the P-210 is mag capacity and the CZ push-button mag release.

In every other respect, including reliability, the P-210 is arguably superior. Not that CZs are bad. And the P-210 is unquestionably more accurate. The mag capacity (8) and the European-style mag release take some getting used to -- I never did. (I didn't really try all that hard.) The only reason I don't still have a P-210 is that I needed a drive-to-work-vehicle more than I needed a fine-quality handgun, and my P-210-6, extra mags, and a collectible Luger paid for most of a 5-year old pickup.)

If you have limited funds, there is no question that the CZ is a lot of gun for the money. But if money is NOT an issue, then the P-210 is worth another look. My P-210-6 (6=match trigger) came with a factory proof target showing a 1.75" group at 50 meters (roughly 55 yards.) Few CZs will touch that. (The P-210 is, in effect, a hand-made gun, hand-fitted throughout the production proces. That, more than anything, accounts for the higher price.)

Will I ever have another P-210? Probably not -- as I don't have any surviving relatives likely to leave me enough to buy one, and I'm sure not going to buy it myself.

But I do have a custom CZ-75B SA, purchased from another forum member, and in most practical respects, it performs on a par with my now-sold P-210-6. Even the trigger is as good. And out to 20 yards, it seems to be so close in accuracy that I don't miss the P-210 at all. (Beyond 20 yards, I found the P-210 easier to shoot well than any other gun I've tried. I can't explain why, but at a plate match, for example, it was clearly and obviously a superior weapon.)

Is the CZ a great value? Without a doubt.

Is it as good as other sub-$1,000 guns. I think so. But I've shot some SIG P-22Xs recently, tuned by Rob Latham, that were absolutely amazing!

Am I going to sell my CZs and get a Latham-tuned SIG? No. CZs "point" better for me than any gun I've handled. I'll stick with them.

Are they the best 9mm going? No. But they're pretty damned good. And for the money, few guns do it better.

Yeah... phrases like 'finest... known to man' are easily tossed around and if it is meant to be humorous, it's fine...

The CZs and EAAs are very nice guns for the price... Actually, I'd probably say they're outstanding for the price. Two CZs or one SIG. Two CZs or one HP... Or more importantly, getting a single CZ when you have half as much money as you need for the HP... :p

CZs... great value... not quite the finest known to man. ;)

I am glad you are happy with your cz 9mm.

I disagree with your statement. My 210-6 is by far a better 9mm for trigger, accuracy and function then and CZ I have seen. My 210-5 is better in all aspects but handleing. That extra barrel length gets in the way when moving quickly.

I suggest you try shooting some 210's and see if you still stand by your opinions...
