This post is for the review of THR.org crowd.

Lets talk about daily carry gear, and I don't mean for the armed professional (although I guess undercover units count). Lets be honest, theres a lot of gear out that that is said to be the best for this, the best for that, and some carry high price tags with them. I want to know what you carry, holster, knife, flashlight, taser (if you carry one), and your gun. I'm not looking for why you carry a particular gun, but I am looking for why you carry certain pieces of equipment.

I guess I'll go first!

I carry Sig P229 and I switch off between a JMG IWB tuckable holster and a Blackhawk CQC IWB holster. I carry a Surefire L1 Lumamax (led of course), and a Boker... can't remember the model, picked it up in Germany in 2003. Thats it! Now let me know what you carry!

M&P9 IWB with UBG holster...its a little bulky. wilderness tactical belt, the 1.25" width belt w/ the rings

Smith Mdl 36 in Mika Pocket holster, need deep cut pockets, but works out well.

that's all I carry as yet. Hopefully will have more soon

Pistol - Kimber Custom II
Holster - Galco Royal Guard II
Belt - 5.11 Basketweave
Mags - Wilson Combat 8 rd, Low Profile pads.
Ammo - Federal HST 230gr.

I pack a Sig P6 loaded with 124gr Goldensabers, in a Blade Tech IWB and a Wilderness Belt. Emerson CQC-7 clipped to one pocket, CPR shield and gloves in another, car keys, wallet, usually a spare magazine, and a flashlight if its dark.

I carry either a Ruger LCP or a S&W 351PD, both in pocket holsters. Cold weather is coming which means jacket, in this case I'll move up to a S&W 642 on the hip.

S&W 640 in a DeSantis SuperFly pocket holster, loaded with Buffalo Bore 158-gr SWCHP +P.

When it's cool enough to wear an overshirt or jacket, Glock 30 in a Bianchi Minimalist holster, with 2 spare mags on belt. Loaded with Remington Golden Saber 230-gr. Also sometimes worn inside waistband in a SmartCarry with one extra mag, if it's too hot for concealing shirt.

until my raven concealment holster gets in i carry my xd sc in a grandfather oak iwb with one extra mag on the opposite side of the gun. when the raven holster gets here i will ccw my service model xd and maintain the 1 spare mag.
i have been knocking around the idea of ccw a bug but i haven't descided yet. i trained with a bug a little at tactical response when i was up there for fighting and advanced figting pistol to get a warm an fuzzy.

Today ( again)

Kel-Tec P-11 stuck in my waistband. Vic Classic , Bic clear disposable ink pen.

Few days ago:
Early 1930s Colt Detective Special, with standard pressure 158 gr LSWC, in waistband/ back pocket ( no holster).
Boker 204 pocket knife, Parker Jotter ink pen, screwdriver in weak side pocket.

I do the same above with a OLDer S&W J frame, don't matter, if Model 36, 37, 042, 442, 642...

Other times finds me with a -
Gov't Model of 1911 bone stock, with 230 gr hardball in waistband, with pocket knives running from 2 3/4" pen knives to 4 1/4" Slim-Line Trappers ( I do not own a locking knife), various pens and pencils, a screwdriver.

Beretta Bobcat 21a in .22 lr is sometimes the only gun I carry.
I used to use a Jetfire and wish I still had one.

Lights: I do a Garrity disposable key ring light and Ray-o-Vac single AAA LED penlight. Both I paid about $3 for.

Been doing this way a long time, except for the P-11 being the newest gun and I think it is a 2000, 2001 year of mfg ? *shrug* ( forget).

I also spend time in places where one cannot have a gun, knife, nail clipper...
I am in my early 50s in case that makes any difference.

How raised what you do.

Use Enough ADEE

Kimber Custom II with 3 total magazines. I switch between leather fanny pack, Galco Miami Classic, and Milt Sparks IWB. But I am considering trading out the third mag for a good Surefire flashlight/2nd mag carrier. I know I am more likely to need the light than a 3rd mag.

Cheap pen and click pencil. Leatherman Wave on belt. CRKT M-14 titanium in my right front pocket. small Spyderco on keyring. Cell phone, never more than half-depleted battery. (My phone also records voice memos with a button touch.) Camera in phone (which I normally roll my eyes at) is good to have as well. Wear shoes you can run in if you have to. Lately I've been wearing issued ballistic eye shields with the tinted lens over my regular glasses as sunglasses. (I need to get some prescription sunglasses.)

Pistol: S&W SS 1911 .45acp
Holster: Comptac Minotaur IWB (awesome BTW!)
Mags: CMC SS no pads
Clip-on Mag Carrier (1 extra mag)
Belt: Comptac gunbelt
Knife: Boker Auto Kalishikov

Pharmacology text book

Kinn's The Medical Assistant Text book

BP cuff

Stethescope

Minnie Mag flash light ( mostly for checking PEARL)

Charis Bible College "Gimme" pen.

My Treo ( duh)

CZ75B or CZ 2075 RAMI both in .40 S&W Galco Summer Comfort IWB

Extra magazines ar kinda hard to carry in scrubs

@Dksimon

I love my P229, I'll never part with it, and it doesn't lend itself to the HK stigma (HK=BMW). I will admit though, the 229 does have snob appeal.

@Treo

It's good to hear that there's some doctors out there that actually carry. Are you in a hospital or a doctor's office? No matter what your specialty is, I wouldn't mind being your patient (Unless it's of the female persuasion, then I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind going).

Glock 21SF in a Comp-Tac CTAC holster, 1 spare mag. Mag in the gun has 230gr hollowpoints, currently Gold Dots, but I also have HST and some leftover FPD rounds. Backup mag is 230gr hardball.

I try to keep a knife handy, usually my el cheapo Frost Cutlery Flying Falcon (about 4-1/2" unfolded).

I'm a college student, an MA isn't an M.D. I'm the guy that takes your vitals, does the initial assesment, draws blood , gives shots yadda yadda yadda. MAs are starting to take the place of LPNs and I hope to work either E.R. or urgent care ( or maybe the free clinic)

Kel-tec P11 IWB with clip, OWB with Uncle Mike's sidekick (if I'm wearing a coat), or pocket with Mika round cut (wish I had gotten square cut) if I have to tuck in the shirt, or possibly in coat pocket with Mika. Prefer IWB or OWB. Ammo is 11 rounds of Hi-Shok +p+ (9bple). 21 rounds when I have room for a spare mag.

Sodbuster Jr, the do-it-all sharpen-anywhere knife.

Olight T10 Q5 180 lumen 1 cell light. Don't care much for the SOS or strobe modes. I would prefer an interface that has "tactical momentary on" and adjusted brightness by tapping the clickie in "on" mode...with memory of course.

I also carry Kimber Lifeact Pepper Protector when I can fit it in the right front pocket, a Spitfire keychain unit, a spare batt on the keychain, a focused LED minilight on the keychain.

I try to always walk with a sturdy umbrella or my blackthorn walking stick. I often carry a stainless steel 40 oz water bottle partially filled.

Usually wear a camo "Mossy Oak" belt that is pretty stiff, cost about $20, and works well as a gun belt.

I've lately become dependent on 3x5 memo pads and carry two, one for daily tasks and one for a food log (into fitness/weight training), and to complement those a Zebra F-701 stainless steel pen...highly recommended, $5 at wally world.

Edit: Almost forgot, an id holder around my neck with my DL, Student ID, and CHP. I can get in big trouble if I'm missing one, and huge trouble if I'm missing DL and CHP...gotta make it simple.

In the summer, usually a Kel-Tec PF-9 with a P-3AT backup.
In cool weather, usually something larger. Either an HK USP .45c, Sig 228, or Sig 239 also with a P-3AT backup.
Some kind of folder, lately a Cold Steel 4" tanto.
Occasionally a Surefire E2e.

Bang, you're dead.

Glock 23 w/Crimson Trace grips, loaded with 165 gr HST's in a High Noon Speed Skin holster. I carry this about 95% of the time. When I need somethign a little slimmer I switch to my 3913 loaded with 124 gr HST's in a High Noon Bare Asset IWB. No flashlights, usually no extra mags and no fancy knives. My knife is a simple Winchester folder I picked up at Walmart for $15 and sharpened the hell out of. It ain't pretty but it cuts whatever I need it to.

Colt 1991A1 Commander w/ CT grips in Galco slide holster, spare magazine in Galco pouch, cell phone, Kershaw folder.
