I am certainly planning to make it.

Remember, I will be collecting funds to send to the founders of THR, so please bring cash if you can.

Speaking of Popes and Catholics....don't none of you heathens go to church? Also, has anyone seen GeeGee lately?

I'm an atheist, so Sundays aren't a problem here

And I'm having lunch with Paul on Tuesday, but he's not going to be able to make it to the shoot tomorrow.

Well I am Episcopal, which is like "Diet Catholic - All of the sin but only half of the guilt" so I am covered for an occasional skip. Hey, if our priest can call in a sub for a golf tournament, I can skip to go shooting.

I'll be there. 8AM service at First Baptist Dallas, then off to Gibson's. We'll see if I'm on time.

Truly, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"

Bringin a 308 VS, a 270 M700 I just put a scope on, a 10/22 I just rebarreled and stocked, and a Gold Cup. Lets have fun!

Nice to see everyone again. We had great weather, a nice morning at the range, and some really unhealthy lunch. Tim, hope that napkin digests OK.

There were some starving high-roaders around lunchtime.

A great day

LOL... the "real" food wasn't coming out fast enough. Seriously, though, that was a gigantic cheeseburger they've got. I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing, but it sure was good.

It was good to meet some of you guys, even if only briefly. Thanks for the info on the Garand - I might have to go blow some cash for one. It sure seemed a lot lighter than I was expecting - but then after the BAR, anything would!

:uhoh:

Were you at the shoot? I'm going to feel badly if you were there and we didn't introduce ourselves. Were you the guy with the AK and RPK (or whatever that was?)

Techbrute,

Yup, that was me, celebrating National 7.62x39 Day in the appropriate manner. Guess it's hard to be sociable with ear protectors on. Hi, if I didn't get to meet you.
;)

Delmar,

That was my first time at Gibson's. There's a 200 yard line?

The 200 yard line is to the left of the 100s and to the right of the 50s, pretty much right in the dead center. I think there's only 2 lanes of 200.

Actually, Techbrute-there are 5 whole lanes in the 200 yard area. Guess that would have caused a bit of crowding! Anyhow, I still had fun and managed to burn up a whole lot of 308. Lets do it again-my rifles just hate sittin around! If the weather cooperates, I'm headed out there again this Saturday.

I'd go, except I'm have a company retreat this weekend (lame). We're going to do all sorts of great teambuilding exercises, non of which invlolve shooting (contrary to my suggestions.)

Techbrute:

Corporate getaway? Really? I thought they only did crap like that in sitcoms...hahaha. :neener:

Dude, if I had to hang with people from work off duty, then see their grumbling butts on duty, I'd eat my pistol. ;)

I'm thinking about it, trust me. Not to mention my wife is giving me crap about not being home for family time, etc. I'm taking it from both ends on this one.
:cuss:
