Dicks is having an ammo sale

I prefer to do business with companies that respect my rights wherever possible. In this case, I live where I have plenty of choices and I have had less than stellar experiences at Dicks' in the past, so I choose not to do business with Dicks'. Dang it, I'll have to pass up this sale.

This is one of the problems of the gun community, there is a certain segment of it that will prostitute itself to the very faction that seeks to destroy it as long as they get what they want in the short run. Then they turn around and taunt us.

My local dicks only had a bunch of overpriced shotgun ammo. I've never bought anything there because there has never been anything gun related or not that I couldn't find cheaper somewhere else.

Guess if the sale is a really good one they will match most vendors normal prices.

My experience with Dick's was buying some 12 gauge shells on sale. No mention was made in the sales flyer that there were only 20 rounds per box, rather than the normal 25.

I bought a case and didn't bother to read the small print on the carton in the store. Pissed when I got home and realized what they'd done. I felt I'd been hosed and won't go back there.

The knoxville dicks stopped carrying guns, ammo, safes, and hunting supplies before the Academy store was opened a couple years ago. No reason to go there anymore. They are flanked by Academy and walmart so they decided not to compete at all for that market.

Were they advertised or marked as being 25 per box? If so, that would be fraud. If not advertised as 25 per box that would not be the fault of Dicks. I have some 20 round boxes and they are clearly marked as such.

Not advertised, and I bought a full carton, so didn't see the boxes until I was home and opened it. To be honest, I wasn't even aware there was such a thing as 20 round shotshell boxes until then, so I wasn't exactly looking for it.

I guess it's like the ever shrinking tuna can, the 7oz. can is now down to 5oz.
