I have a SDB that I got new in 2000 and have loaded thousands of .38 special over the years. Now, I want to try reloading 9mm rounds. I have never reloaded for a semi auto pistol. I'm not interested in making quick conversions between the two calibers because once it is set up for 9mm, it will be that way for a few years. So, what is the MINIMUM that I need to buy from Dillion to start reloading 9mm rounds ?

I'd also get the tool head, Dillon part number 20113, as well.

I know the OP is not interested in quick change capability, but not much extra money and it leaves the dies set up.

An extra powder measure is not necessary.

Thanks. I think I will spring for the tool head also.

I have 2 SDB's and 4 tool heads. It is very comforting and time saving to know when I swap tool heads that I will be very close on all of the die settings except the deprime-sizing die as it is always all the way into the tool head. It takes about 10 minutes to do the swap not in a rush and then run one case thru and set OAL and crimp for the bullet you are using.
Good luck with it, you chose a very good reloading tool.
