No, it's just too big and heavy. I shoot my M&P45 the best, but carry my Glock 26 (which I also shoot well, even with especially hot ammo). If I get a better holster for the M&P45 that might change.
If I thought there was a 50% chance of getting assaulted where I was in the next month I'd be somewhere else, but, I shoot a G34 in SSP, and carry a G19. I shoot the 34 better, but the G19 isn't terribly far behind, and is much better for carry for a number of reasons. I shot my exact carry setup/G19 in IDPA and went to EX class with it in the last big match before getting the 34. It is the smallest, lightest gun I've found that still shoots like a "real gun".
Not really, I shoot my custom .45 pin gun the best. I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP, though I shoot that nearly as well as the pin gun. Far more carry-friendly, though.
Yup I shoot my full size cz 75b steel frame the best and thats what I carry, yes it is heavy and big but I see no reason to give the BG the upper hand because I wanted a more comfortable gun
I do not carry the gun I shoot best because it is a gigantic browning buckmark.
I was in a situation that I thought I had a 50% or greater chance of being attacked. I had a Remington 870 next to my bed, and a Glock 26 on my hip. The Glock became my best friend because I knew I wouldn't fumble with the controls, I knew I could put the bullets where they needed to go, and I knew it would go BANG if I asked it to.
All the other things become unimportant when you reduced to a point that you know deep down that you may be peeing your pants and shaking like a leaf.
G26.... Idiot proof + Reliability = confidence in the face of peril.
