Some people's paranoia never ceases to amaze me. As for the statistics...you obviously have a computer. use it. or are you afraid Rummie and cheney are looking at your google searches?

You came in here stating, "you have a far better chance of being struck by lightning then being taken hostage in or be involved in a bank robbery." I ask for a copy of the stats and yet you cannot support your quick draw rubbish. You're a damn funny troll, but unfortunately, I must tell you now buh bye.

"Talk about paranoid crap"

Interesting thread. You're the only one I see talking crap. People have their reasons for doing what they're doing, me included, and you come barging in here tossing off insults like somebody put you in charge of logical thinking. Hope you have a real pleasant evening.

John

its gets tiresome.........

when folks post to threads just to pontificate, and pull a 'holier than thou' attitude. Discussion is one thing, but a constant harangue, answering every second or third reply, with a rebuttle of your own pompous drivel gets, well, tiresome.

Hey Penguin,
I have noticed from your prior posts that you are a homosexual by your referencing to your male (partner). Did you wash out of the state troopers, or did they push you out for being a fag? I dont have a problem if you want to get :cuss: up the ass as long as you dont try to push it on me and keep it in your own home so that the rest of us dont have to see that discusting stuff, but have you read the papers or watched the news about the stupid kid that attacked people in the gay bar? You, most of anyone else on here should be carrying all the time. I think it is terrible that some people decide to physically abuse gays but you should be a little smarter about protecting yourself. Even the United States courts wont recognize gay marriage. that should tell you something about what even law abiding individuals think about your lifestyle. Dont take offense to anything i have said because i have said the truth without trying to bash you.

have a great day..........

Actually, I do not feel the need to carry. I am not a scared person. I am aware of the fact that if confronted I can defend myself...and also that if someone wants to shoot me they very seldomly come at you from in front of you so having a weapon would in most cases be mute. (how is that for a run-on sentence) As for my state police career...I did not wash out or get forced out. I actually graduated academy with honers but then got activated to go to Iraq. Upon return I choose to use my degree and teach for awhile. And the TRUTH is that small mined people like yourself are of no concern to me. I will put my record against yours any day. How many hash marks do you have on your sleeve? How many duty ribbons on your breast? And please...if you want to say bad things...don't try to hide behind false civility...it makes you look weak and ignorant...you have a great day:)

Getting back to the topic at hand.

Yes, I always have guns in my car. It's part of diversifying my risk.

I usually have:

1 battle rifle
1 social shotgun
and often a carbine
1 main handgun
1 backup handgun

All the gear for the above and more ammo than the average city block has in their homes.

You can call me what you want, but I'm a good "Boy Scout."

Do I worry about the car getting broken into? Not really. Nothing in the passenger compartment makes it a target (fancy stereo, electronics, etc). If it happens, it happens.

As for Playboy Penguin: Do you have any formal training on diagnosing mental disorders or are you merely letting your personal prejudice enter into your writings?

Just curious...what caliber do your keep for your main and backup in your auto. I am trying to decide what to keep there at the moment myself.

PS- I have a 6yr college degree in abnormal psyche...with an art education backer. Thanks for asking.:)
PPS-For any of you thinking of getting a degree and going into social work or teaching as I did...just dig ditches or collect aluminum cans...less work and better pay.

I sure hope that if you ever have to shoot me that you use your 'social shotgun' that sounds like it would be pleasant.:neener:

What does "social shotgun" mean? Is that were you say "pardon me" before you blow someones business off?

Almost never leave a gun in the car. I had a window knocked out a few years ago with every thing in the car stolen. I'm a Patron Life Member of the NRA but choose not to run any kind of decal that would alert a BG. I'd like to advertise the NRA thing, but the added risk is not acceptable to me.
This gun in the car thing is not a big issue with me anyway as I've always got my sidearm on me.

Hmmmmm......I'm sure those people at the Post Office last week would have rather had a gun with them at work instead of what what actually happened. I wish I could legally carry at work.....and anywhere else I felt like carrying......even government buildings.

Why would someone need to carry a pistol to work or to a daycare or to the grocery store.

Why indeed. I just walked up to the local convienience store one night, like I always do and the clerk there said the same thing, but he was quite a bit more restrictive then you. He actually said nobody ever needs a gun anywhere, nobody will ever shoot at you unless you are a cop or are in the military. That citizens have no business with guns. He covered all bases, at the least you realize there is a time when you "need" to carry. Well I kinda snickered at him(he was only a fillin for someone who quit thank god) and I started to walk home. Half a block from the store some jackass starts yelling at me, I turned to look and BANG BANG BANG, 1st round less then 6 inches from my head. Upon hearing the first round I dropped to the ground since there was no cover, and I drew my own handgun which this particular one happened to be nickel plated. Upon seeing my gun my attacker ran faster then I have ever seen anybody run in the opposite direction. So I wonder is carrying to the store still a stupid idea? If so then I guess I'm stupid for not being murdered without cause. I guess I'm absolutely retarded because my son gets to grow up with his father at his side. How about this, you come live by me and I'll start going unarmed, and if/when I get killed you can tell my son why he has no father, why his father had to die, because you thought it was stupid for his father to carry his gun to the store. If you don't have anything positive to say on this board then leave. I run several discussion forums, and on a board like this I would have gotten rid of you already for the types of bashing you do. You are in violation of this boards rules and I'm putting you on report. I will pray that you never have children, so that way when you get shot on the way to the store your children won't have to grow up without their father.

Main is 9mm.
B/U used to be a KelTec 9, but now it's a P3AT in .380 auto.

Playboy Penguin is oh so right about that PPS! I almost blew my water out my nose when I read that!

door compartment

my 357 is always in my door compartment. I don't have any children at home that are of driving age yet. although one will start driving this month. I have a company car and a truck that I drive. I have forgotten to take it out of the truck on monday mornings. I have to be more careful since Paul will be taking the truck to school when he starts driving on the 23rd.
