Any AR-type qualifies, regardless of make/model. AR-10s count, as do wacky custom spaceguns. I wanted to post this poll just because of the high number of AR-related threads I've seen on THR lately.

I need one for 3-gun.

I need one for HD.

I need one for Varmint hunting.

I need one for big(ger) game hunting.

I need one to be a mall ninja; er, I mean, I just need another one in case I find another use for it

....and I need a couple more because there will still be empty room in the gun safe :uhoh:

I have three and a half which includes two POF models (P415 and P308) and two Bushmaster lowers, one with a DPMS upper and the other will soon have an AAC upper in 300 Blackout. That's enough for me and I don't have any plans to add more.

I have...uh, I mean, I HAD an AR until my wife stole it from me. It was a nice Spike's Tactical Middy, too. I only got about 150 rounds through it before her felonious act, too!

Now I need another one so I can enjoy some range time with it.

I do, this is a Colt's 6940LE carbine, my favorite AR ever.

Three. Two diff calibers. Not really sure why. It's not really a black gun thing. They just work. Shoot good. Fit good. I'm probably done unless I get a .308.

Put me down for:
No, but if I ever find a good deal on one when I have the extra cash I'll buy it.
I'll never buy one for what they want for them these days, there are a lot of guns I'd rather have for what they cost.
They just don't tickle my fancy.

ARs, the original ARs were designed by Stoner and they were in the .308 configuration, thereby AR10s, AR stands for Armalite, even though there have been changes at Armalite, AR will always stand for Armalite. I own a few and I love my "ARs"

All those AR accessories are both a curse and a blessing, I figure.

My wife is cross eye dominant (right handed, left eye dominant) and doesn't much like shooting rifles.
I found a picatinny rail that attaches to the bayonet lug (ProMag) and a tiny pistol laser (LaserLyte Sub Compact V3) to address the issue. I don't like stuff hanging off my firearms, but this appears very low profile and unassuming. And relatively cheap too, $24 and $79 respectively.

If it were any other firearm, such accessories would have been much harder to locate, I believe. But on the flip side, I can see how easy it is to throw money at these things.

I have one, I want to replace the upper with a flattop 18" mid length, tube free float foreend, no front sight, 1x4 power scope, no dust cover, forward assist or deflector.
I have a 604 upper that I would like to build into a XM-177 someday

I have one AR, a Sig sauer m400....and I've came down with the rifle sickness. I would like Atleast two more.

ar platform

i just got a rockriver lar8-a4 just waiting for the weather to clear up to try it out !
