Does any state allow NFA items for CCW?

As far as I'm concerned, if dealdy force is justified, the tool used matters not a whit.

As far as the CT law goes (Todd A's post) I don't know how anyone could use any weapon for SD and not use it aggressivley... codifying such a thing (the assumption that the use of a MG is both offensive and aggressive) defies logic.

And I feel such a law is unconstitutional. The law cannot make assumptions. I disagree with prima facie evidence in general.

Prima Facie is the big reason that we have NFA 1934. :barf:

well in front of a jury
handgun fairly normal thing to carry

a mp5k or similar well it can be carried in a shoulder rig is a major pain to do so
so's more of a covert way of carrying a weapon.
rather than carrying a weapon for self defense

IN NC it's a concealed handgun permit. There's no allowance for a concealed long gun. So I suppose a full auto handgun like a Beretta 93R would be legal. However, I can't see how such weapons are controllable or useful.

Texas did not have concealed handgun licenses until W became governor in the 1990's, but did (and still does) allow the unlicensed carry of rifles and shotguns, loaded or unloaded, concealed or not. Back in those days, NFA shotguns were a legal option for those who wanted to go to the trouble of being cleared to possess NFA weapons, and I met several people who did just that. One local gun shop periodically had NFA shotguns for sale. I never met someone who used an SBR for concealed carry, but I remember much local interest in converting HK MP5 semi-auto clones into MP5K look-alikes.

My CWP instructor mentioned that the AZ DPS had told him of one instance where an individual got his CWP just so he could carry a concealed sword.

In Arizona, as long as the weapon is legal to own, your CWP entitles you to carry it if you so choose.
