Dog Shoots Man!
Nice doggie!

A TUSSLE over prey between a Bulgarian hunter and his hound ended when the dog shot the man.

The man lost his temper and began beating his Deutsch-Drahthaar hunting dog with a rifle when the animal refused to release a killed bird it had brought back.

But the dog's paw caught the trigger and the hunter was blasted with buckshot. The extent of his injuries was not reported - but local media said the dog injured a paw.

Hunting birds with a rifle again. Why no wonder there's an accident. ;)
 
Not very reliable.

1, rifle. 2, it fires a shotgun load, 3 it's buckshot.

And he's bird hunting?! :scrutiny:

Wow, I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks...

Note to self: Please remember when hunting with hound dog, to unload rifle before attempting to abuse the dog with it :banghead: ...

So it must be true... God watches out for Fools( since this guy would definitely have gotten a Darwin Nomination), children, and animals :D
 
The poor dog may still face charges...

Though clearly selfdefense for unregistered Pawssesion of a weapon....I couldn't resist :eek:

Guys, he hit the dog because it wouldn't give him HIS bird. What's the big deal? Are we now HAPPY that someone got hurt?

No, but it's not nice to beat your dog with a rifle, AND he should have a) unloaded the rifle and b) not pointed it at himself. So he did three stupid things and got injured as a result.
 
Not GOOD that guy got hurt, but damn funny HOW he got hurt...

And to all of you raggin' on the guy for using buckshot to bird hunt, he might have been after the rare and rather aggressive breed of Bulgarian Emu or Ostrich, which would explain the dog not giving up the bird(and the biggest drumstick of his life lol) and the use of buckshot on a 6 foot 200lbs bird is almost necessary :scrutiny: :D ...
 
No, you've got it all wrong. The use of buckshot could cause the cessation of all life on Earth, as we know it. Buckshot is the most powerful/effective load every developed. I heard all the pros use it in Africa...

Wasn't there a similar incident awhile ago where the man beat his dog with the butt end of a shotgun, it discharged, killing him?

I don't hunt birds with dogs, so I don't know, but how many here have had success training their retrievers by clubbing their dog when it brought a bird back? Just wondering.
