Any of you guys out there prefer to pocket carry two snubbies (one on each front pocket) (relying on "New York" reloads) as your primary way of carrying?

No.
One gun & a speed-loader is plenty enough for me.

I got other stuff to carry in my other pockets, like car keys, change, knives, lighters, wallets, etc.

I have a Charter Bell Oaks New York REload holster that holds 2 D frame Colts banging around for 20 years. But if I do such a stunt I prefer left and right holsters as I finally learned to shoot left handed since the millenium.

I occasionally carry both .44 spl snubbies, or one of the snubbies as a BUG to the 1911.
Or the compact 1911 as a BUG to the full size.
or one of the .44 spl snubbies to back up the snubby .44 magnum.
Not unusual at all to have 2-3 firearms on me.

I do this fairly frequently. One in each pocket. A Model 60 for my primary and a Model 38 Airweight as the BUG.

In another time I was known to carry a Browning Hi Power IWB, the Model 60 in the stong side pocket for a NY reload and an NAA mini in the weak pocket.

If I dont have both snubs then I have the 60 and speed strip of 5.

When I have both snubbies on me I carry my cell phone in my back pocket and my keys in a cargo. My knife is clipped to my back right pocket with my wallet. I usually only go dually when I am in the hood here in Savannah though.

Hello friends and neighbors // Not in pocket but I do sometimes carry IWB @ 10;00 and 3:00 two DW .357 snubbies or S&W 442 and a 642, .38s.

Different ammo in each, a shot shell and SJHPs in one and FMJs in the other.

65% of all carry it is just the 442 though.

I've never carried two guns, but if I did, I think it would be a S&W Schofield .44 and a Colt SAA .45, both in cross draw. I'd have a dressy, tooled rig with a ranger buckle of German silver. And I wouldn't stop there. I'd carry a derringer -- 50 cal, of course -- in my vest pocket. But I would never carry two snubbies.

I ain't that paranoid and know I can hit what I shoot at. I have five shots to do it with, won't need more, trust me. :D I do have a NAA mini in my off side pocket, a might easier to do. I have my pepper gas in that pocket, too. I carry reloads in Bianchi speed strips. Hmm, guess I am a LITTLE paranoid.

If I am going into a situation where I think I need to utilize the "New York reload" concept, I carry my .40S&W SIG P239 or .45ACP Combat Commander, each with four mags...with S&W M37 in an ankle holster as BUG

If going on a road trip I will bring two snubs. If need be, I can hand my secondary to my wife.

Since most days I live in "relative" safety and don't have a job that is high risk, I feel fine with just one. Either my centennial or my chief. I always carry either a strip or HKS speed loader.

.

I normally carry a 2 1/2 inch 325PD strong side and a Model 12 weak side in a cross draw. And most of the time there will be a third gun in my pocket.

Not Me

One is enough (I hope) and no reload. If I pocket carried two I would have to take up a belt and suspenders. Sometimes I carry a semi-auto with seven rounds. That's almost 10. ;)

Here are a couple of our THR Buds and their pair to draw to.

My take on it...
I dont carry multiple hand guns for the added firepower.
ANY gun can malfunction.
Having a back up is just in case #1 goes TU.

Well, and it's good to have something in your off pocket if you're grappling with someone with your strong hand. It'll be near point blank, contact range, so it could be a stun gun or something, don't have to be a firearm for this. I feel the little NAA ain't much, but it should stun about as well as a stun gun at contact, screw in the ear, ranges.

I agree big time with MC gunner!!!! I have my 642 in my weak side pocket opisit of my duty gun.

Two snubbies, yes; both in front pockets, no. People tend to crouch if startled, and in a fight, one is often bent at the waist or hips. Under such conditions, getting a hand into a pocket is problematic.

A front pocket is a good place for one of my guns, and yes, I regularly carry two.

New York Reload? Git a rope! :D

To revisit the "New York reload" for a moment, let's remember that Texas Rangers carried two Colts as far back as the 1830s. Being a Texian, with family here since the land grant days, I reckon my second and occasional third revolvers are Texas reloads. ;) (Yes I spelled "Texian" right!)

Of course, I say this in good humor, as I have tremendous respect for the late, Great Jim Cirillo and Mas Ayoob, who cooperatively brought the term "New York Reload" into the vocabulary of modern gunfighting. I attended a seminar taught by Mas Ayoob and Ray Chapman in the mid-1980's, have read most of Mas' writing since the early 1980's, and was blessed to meet Jim Cirillo in person, along with Mas again, along with many other top trainers and writers at the Snubby Summit in 2005. (This was a one-time event, but some of the instructors involved still appear at various tactical conferences to this day. Jim
Cirillo, unfortunately, passed away in a traffic collision before I got a chance to
learn from him in person again.)

To be clear, I always carry at least one reload of spare rounds, independent of how many handguns I may have on or about my person. If there is time, I plan to keep all of my firearms loaded.

Really, Speed Strips are so compact, there is little reason to carry just one, anyway. I generally start with two of them. And, no, Speed Strips are not very fast for a complete reload, which should probably be discussed in a thread of it's own.

On rare occasion I carry two guns but never two snubs.

When I do (most of the time) it is so that I can have 2 guns with different purposes in mind.

Say a .22 for plinking and a defense weapon for example.

and I hardly ever pocket carry.

Two snubbies yes; both in front pocket, NO. Primary is a Taurus® 605SS2 357 Mag; BUG is a Taurus® 85SS2UL 38 Special. Primary is IWB or OWB at 4 O'Clock; BUG in left jacket pocket or ankle holster. Speed Loaders/Speed Strips are all loaded w/38 Special for obvious reasons. In hot summer weather primary is in a DeSantis® Cozy Partner™ IWB holster at 4 O'Clock; BUG is in left front pocket.
