Not sure this is the right place for this thread or not, but this seems like the best one.
I'm going out on a limb and showing pictures. I do have a video but I am hesitant to show it because a) it has my license plate in the video (not sure how dangerous that really is), but also, because the video was made specifically for an Army buddy of mine who is deployed to Afghanistan, the are some cuss words and an inside joke or two in the video. If you guys really want to see in detail how the weapon is secured and such, I suppose I could post the link. The video is not searchable on youtube.
What do you guys think? It is cable-locked through the action, and well hidden. I have a tennis racket case it fits inside too.
I think this is a pretty nifty way of storing my AK pistol in my trunk, and having it pretty damn secure too.
If you can't tell from the pictures, the AK is strapped, quite securely, to the "roof" of my trunk, so its out of view of you are standing at normal height or even if you bend to grab a grocery bag out of the trunk. But if you crouch/kneel, and look up into the trunk, you will see the AK strapped in, action slightly open to accomodate my masterlock, which is then security-cabled to a metal anchor in my trunk. It isn't going anywhere, unless somebody has heavy duty bolt-cutters. My trunk is also pretty secure on its as well.
Any questions/feedback?
EDIT:
I edited the youtube video so that my plates aren't in the video anymore. However, it was still tailored to somebody who had seen my pistol safe (also in my trunk), and I say something like "you've seen this before", so pardon my seemingly strange narration. Also pardon my bad language - I blame the Army. Anyway, its poorly shot but it does show how its mounted a bit better. Feedback welcomed.
