Even Newer Pet Peeve

Open Sight Whiners, Iron Sight Whiners, Optical Sight Whiners, Teloscopic Sight Whiners, Bullet Whiners, and Capitol Letter Whiners.

There are people who have never been exposed to firearm terminology. Seems to me the best way of reducing these "Peeves" would be to prod the individual in the correct direction. Not in your direction, the correct direction.
Be sure to have your Firearms Terminology Dictionary on hand.

Unfortunately most don't care if they don't speak proper english . The term "dust cover" on a pistol is not correct but now at least one of the manufacturers uses it. It's similar to "co-conspirator" , the proper word is just conspirator but now co-conspirator is in the dictionary.

There are scopes, peep sights,

and iron sights...........been that way for over 50 years for me. Will I ever change, not likely. Too old to be PC. Life is too short to put with PC BS. chris3
