Hey there, everybody!

I got my Glock 17 in March of this year to see what all the fuss was about. My first gun, a polymer Ruger P-345, it was fairly reliable but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. So it got sold off and I bought a Kimber Custom II, which shot very accurately but was a jam-0-matic.

The Glock 17 has been AMAZING. I still love the 1911 platform and will return to it someday, but this Glock just reached the 2700 round mark, with not a single malfunction. No jams, failures to feed, failures to extract, nuthin.

For those who care, here's an evolution of my shooting with this gun. All these targets were shot at 7 Yards, with 50 rounds of ammo.

Not bull's eye competition stuff, but I'm pretty proud of my progress.

Wuddyall think?

you have improved alot, good shooting, and keep it up, just move that target out more and more, and you will with practice impress yourself over and over again. good shooting.

Thanks! Yeah...Im moving out to 15 yards next time to at the range.

I've got an XD-45...only 700 rounds through mine though. Have you hade any malfs during your torture test?

nope, i had sand every where it would go all the noocks and crannies, i had no malfunctions after 50rds. i aplied more sand after every 10rds fired. there were only two effects that the sand had on the gun.
1) the trigger pulls seamed lighter
2) the slide release was a little tougher than normal but still fully functional.

you should have seen the way the people at the range were looking at me when i was conducting the test. i just can't wait to expand the testing some more!:)
